| Abstract: | The configuration parameters of the perigee kick motor mating to LM 2E launch vehicle (EPKM) and its head ablation failures during ground spinning test firings are introduced. The combustion gas flow field in the motor chamber head area is quantitatively analyzed. The cause of the failure and the modification measures are then determined, which were proved to be effective by two spinning test firings and two flights. |
