Abstract:A method of the design of an observer is presented for fault detection andisolation when the parameters of a control system are changed, in which eigenstructureassignment is used for the observer. In order to isolate the fault of each sensor channel,a parity subspace of the error between the system output and observer output is con-structed, and the faults of each sensor are decoupled in the parity subspace. The detec-tion and isolation of the fault of each sensor is realized, where only one observer is used,Therebv the robustness of the fault detection and isolation is achieved.
