基于语料库的高职英语专业一、二年级学生写作能力的分析

摘    要:以南通纺织职业技术学院英语专业一年级和二年级的一篇作文为素材建立小型语料库,比较两个年级学生的写作能力.使用了Wordsmith软件的单词列表、检索、主题词功能对作文进行分析,从而得出结论:二年级的表达能力超过了一年级,而一年级体现出了更丰富的想象力.探究原因,差异的出现与大学英语写作教学有关,从而对大学英语写作教学起到了两方面的启示作用.

Abstract:Based on the writings of English majors in their first year and those in their second year in Nantong Textile Vocational Technology College, a small corpus is established in order to compare the writing ability between the first-year students and the second-year students in the voca- tional college by means of Wordsmith. It turns out, by using the wordlist, concordance and keyword functions of Wordsmith, that the expressive ability of the students in second year is better than that in the first year, while the first year students are more imaginative. The difference can be attributed to college English writing course, hence the result offers two-side inspirations to college English writing teaching.
