Abstract:Based on ideally elastoplastic thick-walled cylinder solution, the residual stress field at cold-worked fastener hole of finite wide plate is obtained through geometric modification. The examples show that the calculations based on geometric modification agree with experiments very well in comparison with the solution based on thick -wall cylinder.
