| Abstract: | This paper describes a method of optimizing a valve spring in an engine by using a genetic algorithm and a comprehensive optimal mathematical model is set up.The best solution is found by means of genetic algorithm.The results indicate that the genetic algorithm-based optimal design can be used to such a problem which has many restraints and many types of variables. |
