An Evaluation Method of Time Performance for ETOPS Time Limited Systems

Time performance requirements for ETOPS time limited systems are the vital input for aircraft system design and are also the precondition to satisfying the aircraft′s maximum ETOPS diversion ability by the designated systems.Take into account both the engineering experience and the ETOPS operational characteristic,an evaluation method of time performance for ETOPS time limited systems is showed in this paper.It shows that,by the calculation case,flight route temperature and wind′s influence on determining the time performance of the ETOPS time limited systems is obvious.The calculation and analysis method presented in this paper can be used for the engineering evaluation of the time performance for ETOPS time limited systems during the aircraft design phase.
