A detector which is designed to operate in a correlated Gaussian-plus-impulsive-noise environment is presented. The detector whitens the data robustly and then uses a two-sided threshold test to determine the presence of impulsive samples. The impulsive samples are discarded, and the remaining samples are used to detect the presence or absence of a signal using a matched filter. An approximate analysis is presented, and simulations are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach  相似文献

Loran has provided navigation service since 1958. Though not originally designed with data broadcast capabilities, Loran's versatility has enabled data to be broadcast with great benefits. Research in the last two decades has resulted in a tremendous increase in the data capacity of Loran thereby increasing its utility. Currently, a modernized Loran is being evaluated for its capability to backup GPS and data modulation is an integral part of this Loran design. This paper details some recent Loran modulation designs and ideas.  相似文献

Distributed detection on the serial (or tandem) topology is considered with the probability of error performance criterion. Previously published efforts, while presenting probability of detection versus false alarm results, limited the number of array elements to two or three. For the detection of known, equally likely signals in additive, symmetric noise, the author presents simple recursive expressions for the threshold values and the performance of the system. Examples for known signals in Gaussian and Laplacian noise show the degradation in performance due to the array structure  相似文献
