The analysis of a second-order tracking loop operating in the frequency-search mode is carried out by the quasi-stationary approach. An arbitrary phase detector characteristic is assumed and perfect or imperfect integrating filters are considered. The theory leads to a closed-form expression of the acquisition time versus the relevant system parameters, the initial detuning, and the search rate. The limitations of this analysis concern the absence of noise and the hypothesis of large initial detuning.  相似文献

This paper analyzes a sequential feedback detection scheme derived by Kramer's nonsequential intermittent one; in addition to the noiseless information feedback channel, it makes use of a noiseless decision feedback channel. Expressions for the normalized average evergy per symbol, average decision time, probability of error, and average power are derived. The comparison with the nonsequential intermittent scheme shows that the proposed one allows an appreciable gain in transmission rate and requires a smaller peak-to-average power ratio.  相似文献

Material Science and Life Science experiments in microgravity both have urgent needs of evaluating the temperature distribution within and on the surface of liquid zones. Non intrusive methods are available which measure the IR radiations emitted by the surface. The thermograph systems have a number of advantages since they supply a thermal picture of the surface with sufficient time, space and temperature accuracy. A computerized system has been designed for data acquisition and elaboration and used for ground experiments; the system can also be used for space experiments with some modifications. Non intrusive measurements of bulk temperature in two dimensional liquid flow fields can be made by means of optical methods which detect variations of the index of refraction. A method is proposed which is able to take with the same optical apparatus shadowgraph. Schlieren and differential interferometers pictures. A computerized system is proposed for data acquisition and elaboration.  相似文献

Costas arrays are permutation matrices that provide sequencing schemes for frequency hop in FSK waveforms. Such frequency-shift keying (FSK) waveforms can be designed to have nearly ideal ambiguity function properties in both the time and frequency directions: the Costas property permits at most one coincident tone in autocorrelations in both time and frequency. Costas arrays are found by number-theoretic generators and their extensions, and by exhaustive search methods. Two new extensions of number-theoretic methods are introduced here that find two new Costas arrays. All Costas arrays for orders 24, 25, and 26 are disclosed here, including previously unknown examples.  相似文献

This paper provides general models of radar echoes from a target. The rationale of the approach is to consider the echoes as the output of a linear dynamic system driven by white Gaussian noise (WGN). Two models can be conceived to generate N target returns: samples generated as a batch, or sequentially generated one by one. The models allow the accommodation of any correlation between pulses and nonstationary behavior of the target. The problem of deriving the optimum receiver structure is next considered. The theory of "estimator-correlator" receiver is applied to the case of a Gaussian-distributed time-correlated target embedded in clutter and thermal noise. Two equivalent detection schemes are obtained (i. e., the batch detector and the recursive detector) which are related to the above mentioned procedures of generating radar echoes. A combined analytic-numeric method has been conceived to obtain a set of original detection curves related to operational cases of interest. Finally, an adaptive implementation of the proposed processor is suggested, especially with reference to the problem of on-line estimation of the clutter covariance matrix and of the CFAR threshold. In both cases detection loss due to adaptation has been evaluated by means of a Monte Carlo simulation approach. In summary, the original contributions of the paper lie in the mathematical formulation of a powerful model for radar echoes and in the derivation of a large set of detection curves.  相似文献

The work presented here describes an exhaustive search for minimum peak sidelobe level (PSL) binary codes, combining several devices for efficiency. These include combinatoric tree search techniques, the use of PSL-preserving symmetries to reduce search space, data representations and operations for fast sidelobe computation, and a partitioning scheme for parallelism. All balanced 64-bit minimum PSL codes are presented, and the upper limit on known consecutive lengths to have PSL = 4 codes is extended to 70. In addition, a technique for determining balance properties of a code for given PSL-preserving transformations is developed.  相似文献

The optimum (maximum likelihood criterion) bit synchronizer for phase-noncoherent reception of binary FSK signals is found and a suboptimum implementation of it is derived. The performance of this circuit is analyzed in the presence of thermal noise, and the expression of the timing jitter variance is obtained in the case of relatively large signal-to-noise ratios.  相似文献

The first dropped transonic flight test (DTFT) of the USV Program, performed with Castor, the first of the two spacecrafts developed within the USV Program, was performed on Saturday 24th February 2007, from Tortolì Airport in Sardinia.At 8:30 a.m. the 340 000 m3 stratospheric balloon lifted off from the East coast of Sardinia, bringing the flying test bed (FTB) up to 20.2 km before release within the isolated sea polygon controlled by Italian air force test range in Salto di Quirra (PISQ). The mission ended at 10:30 a.m. with the splash-down of the space vehicle.The flight itself was very good, with a nose-up manoeuvre under transonic conditions, reaching a maximum Mach as high as 1.08. The mission target was completely achieved as some 2 million measures were taken related to flight data, housekeeping, as well as 500 aerodynamic and structural experimental sensors. Unfortunately, the vehicle has been damaged more than expected during splash-down.Many national and international institutions and industries contributed to the mission carrying out, under the supervision and technical guide of CIRA: Italian Space Agency, Italian Air Force, Italian Navy, Italian Civil Aviation Authority, Italian Company for Air Navigation Services, Port Authorities, European Space Agency, Techno System Dev., Vitrociset, Carlo Gavazzi Space, Space Software Italia, Alcatel Alenia Space Italy, ISL-Altran Group.The paper reports the actual status of post-flight data analysis.  相似文献

A sequential detection scheme with combined decision and information feedbacks, where the signal amplitude at each iteration may be properly programmed, is analyzed. This approach allows a remarkable gain in transmission rate and a significant reduction in the peak-to-average power ratio, relative to the nonsequential scheme with constant signal amplitude.  相似文献
