This paper presents profiles of 12 airborne and spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging systems. This information is intended to help potential users evaluate the systems for specific applications. The systems profiled in this article can be used for commercial purposes; some have been built specifically for commercial use while others also serve as science and research tools, Both domestic and foreign systems designed for government agencies and private industry are profiled. Nine of these systems are currently operational; two systems are scheduled to begin service in the near future. This paper presents brief profiles of 19 airborne hyperspectral sensor systems currently or nearly available for data acquisition. These systems represent various design concepts and innovations in hyperspectral information collection technology. A number of companies now have the ability to acquire data from these systems. As the scientific and commercial communities become aware of hyperspectral imaging data acquisition opportunities, more applications for this type of data will be investigated and implemented  相似文献

Lower body negative pressure (LBNP) remains an important device for the generation of orthostatic stress in the space flight environment as well as a tool to measure inflight and postflight changes in orthostatic response.

These applied levels of LBNP have typically not exceeded 50–60 mm Hg negative pressure. Information is incomplete as to the levels of absolute LBNP orthostatic tolerance, and the factors responsible for their variance. A better definition of the tolerance limits for males and females could be expected to aid the evaluation of lower levels of LBNP.

An LBNP device was built to study absolute orthostatic tolerance; additionally, another LBNP device was constructed to permit orthostatic tolerance testing directly after a controlled water immersion period.

Absolute LBNP orthostatic tolerance patterns are analyzed for a group of males and females (series I). A preliminary statement on the variations of LBNP orthostatic tolerance after limited periods of water immersion and bed rest is also provided (series II).  相似文献

We investigate magnetic reconnection in a multiple current sheet configuration by means of three-dimensional resistive MHD simulations. This configuration might be of interest in the solar corona context, e.g. for coronal helmet streamers. We present results of our simulations of the linear and nonlinear development of the tearing mode instability. In particular, we highlight the changes in magnetic topology and the resulting plasma dynamics. Our results indicate that reconnection in complex coronal neighboring magnetic flux systems efficiently converts magnetic field energy into thermal energy and leads to small-scale tongue outflows rather than large-scale coronal mass ejections.  相似文献

The interaction phase of the Converging Flux Model (Priest et al., 1994) for the formation of coronal X-ray bright points is investigated self-consistently by means of magnetohydrodynamical simulations. In these simulations the three-dimensional dynamical evolution of two mutually approaching magnetic structures of opposite polarity is studied. During the ideal phase of the approach a current sheet forms in the region above the polarity inversion line and the low-β coronal plasma is compressed and heated locally. Stronger plasma heating on shorter time scales occurs due to magnetic reconnection as soon as a finite anomalous resistivity leads to a violation of the ideal Ohm's law. Both processes together might account for quasi-stationary soft X-ray emissivity of bright points, flaring of tiny filaments within X-ray bright points, and jet-like plasma flows in the vicinity of bright point features.  相似文献
