对“三育人”的几点思考

“三育人”是具有中国特色的一种教育模式，它对整个教育过程都会产生深远的影响。然而现实中却时常出现一些误区，其中主要是思想认识问题。这些问题或是简单的理解，或是片面的追求，或是死抱着过时的东西不放。其结果必然损害育人质量。我们必须以邓小平教育思想为指导，以服务国家和社会为前提，纠正不正确观念，使育人质量和育人水平不断提高。     

Dreams and realities: the challenges facing development of space tourism

The era of public space travel is approaching faster than most people think, driven by the human desire for adventure, travel and fun, and by the economic motivation for creating a space industry. Before this will happen, advances in engineering, law and policy, and medicine must be made, as well as considering the issues involved in business and management. Public awareness of the possibility must be increased and world-wide excitement about space generated in order to make space tourism a reality. This is a slightly edited version of the executive summary of the design project produced by ISU students at their 2000 Summer Session Programme in Valparaiso, Chile.     

ISU design projects summarized: Desertification-the global challenge

As part of the first Master of Space Studies degree, begun in 1995 and run by the International Space University (ISU), students were required to complete team design projects encompassing the theme of ‘Space of service to humanity’. Below we present summaries of two of the projects: the Space Assisted Network against Desertification (SAND) and the Distant Operational Care Center (DOCC). The first investigates ways countries affected by desertification can gain easier access to high resolution data on the problem. The second provides a model of a remote integrated medical facility capable of treating injured astronauts and others in remote locations.
