Detection of eccentric objects near the geosynchronous region is a very important issue. However, the extremely narrow fields-of-view of optical telescopes hinders us from identifying eccentric objects. An observation strategy to systematically detect these objects and determine their orbits precisely with one telescope is outlined in this presentation. Basically, one specific geosynchronous location (not one specific celestial position) is observed on two nights. Objects which pass through that location in the first night must pass through that location again in the second night. By identifying the same objects from two nights of data, rough orbits for those objects are determined. A third night is needed for precise orbital determination. An application of this strategy to the observation for Titan fragments is also discussed.  相似文献

The environmental pattern change of land and sea surface are studied based on the MSS data of Landsat-1 and 2. The analysis of land use in Nagoya and Toyohashi areas located in central Japan indicates a large change of land use took place during 3 yr between 1972 and 1975. Land use change is especially large in the periphery and suburbs of large city Nagoya, the fourth largest city of Japan with 2 million population.Out of total studied area of 350 km2 in Nagoya District, 5.79 and 3.20% were transformed into new urban and open areas respectively from forest, agricultural and suburban areas.Over the sea surface, “red tide” named after its color which causes damage to fishing industry is increasing in a bay and Seto Inland Sea. During the analysis a small vortex of approximately 40 km in diameter was found off the tip of Kii Peninsula in the periphery of Kuroshio, a large warm ocean current.It is the first time that the existence of this kind of small vortex is visually recognized near Japan along the Kuroshio. It is found that this vortex is manifested by the red tide driven into the vortex.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new aerodynamic device, which was designated multi-row-disk (MRD). This device has a cone and stabilizer disks being arranged in the axial direction. This device can arbitrarily change its aerodynamic characteristics by translating stabilizer disks. In the first part of this paper, the effect of several nose shape configurations including the MRD device on the aerodynamic characteristics is reported. By increasing the number of stabilizer disks, zero-lift drag and induced drag can be reduced. It was also found that putting cavities on the conical surface is effective for improving longitudinal static stability. In the second part, the effect of cavity flow instability on pressure and strain oscillation is reported. We drew the design criterion that the configuration of stabilizer disks should be determined not to couple the 1st mode with pressure oscillation frequency, which can be predicted with Rossiter's formula.  相似文献

The effects of gravity on bone metabolism are unclear, and little has been reported about the effects of hypergravity on the mature skeleton. Since low gravity has been shown to decrease bone volume, we hypothesized that hypergravity increases bone volume. To clarify this hypothesis, adult female rats were ovariectomized and exposed to hypergravity (2.9G) using a centrifugation system. The rats were killed 28 days after the start of loading, and the distal femoral metaphysis of the rats was studied. Bone architecture was assessed by micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) and bone mineral density was measured using peripheral quantitative CT (pQCT). Hypergravity increased the trabecular bone volume of ovariectomized rats. Histomorphometric analyses revealed that hypergravity suppressed both bone formation and resorption and increased bone volume in ovariectomized rats.  相似文献

The balloon-borne very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) experiment is a technical feasibility study for performing radio interferometry in the stratosphere. The flight model has been developed. A balloon-borne VLBI station will be launched to establish interferometric fringes with ground-based VLBI stations distributed over the Japanese islands at an observing frequency of approximately 20?GHz as the first step. This paper describes the system design and development of a series of observing instruments and bus systems. In addition to the advantages of avoiding the atmospheric effects of absorption and fluctuation in high frequency radio observation, the mobility of a station can improve the sampling coverage (“uv-coverage”) by increasing the number of baselines by the number of ground-based counterparts for each observation day. This benefit cannot be obtained with conventional arrays that solely comprise ground-based stations. The balloon-borne VLBI can contribute to a future progress of research fields such as black holes by direct imaging.  相似文献

Novel methods for the estimation and correction of antenna surface deformations are developed and investigated. Surface adjustment mechanisms, which are used for a reconfigurable antenna system, are used to estimate and correct surface errors. Relations between antenna surface errors and changes in antenna gains caused by intentional deformations are derived from the Ruze equation. In these methods, an antenna surface is deformed using the surface adjustment mechanisms, and the changes in the gains caused by the intentional deformations are measured. On the basis of the information regarding the intentional deformations and the resultant changes in the antenna gains, original deformation of the antenna surface is estimated. The deformation is corrected using the surface adjustment mechanisms. Some numerical simulations are carried out to investigate the feasibility of these methods. The results of these simulations show that the antenna deformations are estimated and corrected adequately using these methods.  相似文献
