Detached-Eddy Simulation方法模拟不同类型翼型的失速特性

 应用DES(Detached-EddySimulation)方法数值模拟了3种不同失速类型的翼型的升力特性。DES方法结合了RANS(Reynolds-averagedNavier-Stokes)和LES(LargeEddySimulationapproaches)的优点。基于Spalart-Allmaras湍流模型,在近壁面DES体现为RANS模型的特点而在远离物面处又具有LES的亚格子模型的特性。对此模型使用了LU-SGS隐式格式求解。通过和实验结果对比,显示这种方法可以有效地预测翼型的失速特性。     

庄河、光明山陨石的岩石矿物学研究

庄河陨石和光明山陨石是两个降落于同一地区的Ｈ５型普通球粒陨石．根据两辉石温度计求出这两个陨石的平衡温度＜ ５００℃；根据镍纹石的带宽与组成关系，获得光明山陨石在其母体中的冷却速率约为 １０－１０℃／Ｍａ，而庄河陨石中普遍出现均一的四方镍纹石表明其冷却速率更低．光明山陨石的冲击变质特征以硅酸盐颗粒破碎为主，其冲击相为Ｓ１；庄河陨石中硅酸盐矿物具明显的波状消光，并存在细小的冲击熔融脉，其冲击相划分为Ｓ２．     

Ground Compatibility Tests for Gravity Measurement of SELENE: Accuracies of Two- and Four-Way Doppler and Range Measurements

The Japanese lunar mission Selenological and Engineering Explorer (SELENE) was launched in September 2007 and continued its mission until June 2009, when the main orbiter impacted with the surface of the Moon. SELENE consisted of three satellites: Main, Rstar, and Vstar. Rstar’s tasks were to forward up-link signals from the Usuada Deep Space Center (UDSC) to Main, and to down-link returning signals from Main to UDSC. We refer to this tracking sub-system as a four-way Doppler measurement. In contrast, conventional tracking systems between Rstar and UDSC as well as between Main and ground stations are referred to as two-way Doppler and range measurements. Using Main and Rstar, we successfully observed the gravity field over the farside of the Moon. Because four-way Doppler measurements via a relay sub-satellite were a fundamental experiment in space for Japanese space agencies, compatibility of radiometric instruments onboard Main and Rstar to UDSC were carefully examined at the UDSC using components manufactured for flight models. These tests not only proved the feasibility of the four-way Doppler measurements but also provided biases and variations of the four-way Doppler and two-way Doppler and range measurements that were later taken into account during the processing of tracking data and the analysis of the lunar global gravity field.     

Cardiovascular effects of simulated zero-gravity in humans

Head-down and head-up [correction of heat-up] tilted bedrest (5 degrees) and head out water immersion (HOWI) for 6 hr were compared. Parameters: Cardiac output (rebreathing method), blood pressure (arm cuff), forearm blood flow (venous occlusion plethysmography), total peripheral (TPR), and forearm vascular (FVR) resistances, Hct, Hb, relative plasma volume (PV) changes, and plasma catecholamines (single-isotope assay). During HOWI there was as expected a decrement in TPR, FVR, Mean arterial pressure (MAP, from 100 to 80 mmHg), Hct, and PV, and--as a new finding--catecholamines, which were 30-50% lower compared with both +5 and -5 degrees bedrest. During head down tilt, MAP was elevated (to 100-110 mmHg) and catecholamines did not fall, while TPR and EVR slowly decreased over 6 hr. HOWI is a stronger stimulus than -5 degrees bedrest, probably because HOWI elevates central venous pressure more markedly emptying the peripheral veins, while bedrest permits a distension of veins, which induces an increase in sympathetic nervous activity.     

Neoplastic transformation of hamster embryo cells by heavy ions

We have studied the induction of morphological transformation of Syrian hamster embryo cells by low doses of heavy ions with different linear energy transfer (LET), ranging from 13 to 400 keV/μm. Exponentially growing cells were irradiated with ¹²C or ²⁸Si ion beams generated by the Heavy Ion Medical Accelerator in Chiba (HIMAC), inoculated to culture dishes, and transformed colonies were identified when the cells were densely stacked and showed a crisscross pattern. Over the LET range examined, the frequency of transformation induced by the heavy ions increased sharply at very low doses no greater than 5 cGy. The relative biological effectiveness (RBE) of the heavy ions relative to 250 kVp X-rays showed an initial increase with LET, reaching a maximum value of about 7 at 100 keV/μm, and then decreased with the further increase in LET. Thus, we confirmed that high LET heavy ions are significantly more effective than X-rays for the induction of in vitro cell transformation.     

Inhibition of reproductive growth of Arabidopsis in airtight vessels

Airtight vessels have various advantages for space experiments. However, Arabidopsis thaliana plants scarcely produced seeds when grown in such vessels. The mechanism by which reproductive growth is inhibited in airtight vessels was studied. The length of the flower stalk was shorter when the plants were grown in airtight vessels. Thus, there was a possibility that the inhibition of reproductive growth was due to the inhibition of vegetative growth. However, even when the plants which has grown under non-airtight conditions and has reached to the flowering stage were transferred to airtight vessels, silique formation was inhibited, suggesting that the airtight environment directly influences reproductive growth. In airtight vessels, anther dehiscence was inhibited, which appears to be the cause of inhibition of silique formation and seed development. Reproductive growth recovered when silica gel was added to the vessels. These results suggest that in airtight vessels, high humidity causes a suppression of anther dehiscence, resulting in the inhibition of reproductive growth. Therefore, the control of humidity by ventilation should be taken into consideration in designing a growth chamber for space experiments.     

Mechanism for assembling antenna in space

The development of large and precise space antennas is one of the most important topics in constructing space infrastructures. We evaluated an approach to assembling large and accurate space antennas which uses space robots. The assembly mechanism was launched together with the ETS-VII, the first telerobotic satellite from Japan, and its performance, including fully automatic assembling, was verified. The assembling-type antenna and the results of antenna assembly experiments are discussed     

Cardiovascular and hormonal responses to bicycle exercise during lower body negative pressure

The purpose was to combine bicycle exercise and LBNP as a model to investigate the mechanisms regulating circulation during gravitatiobal stresses. METHODS: Cardiac Output (CO) by acetylene-, argon-, oxygen rebreathing; Heart Rate (HR) from ECG; Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) by arm cuff; Plasma Nor-Epinephrine (NE), Epinephrine (E), and Lactate (HLa) by isotope and enzymatic techniques respectively. Total Peripheral Resistance (TPR)=MAP/CO and stroke volume (SV)=CO/HR. Six subjects exercised at 180–200 Watts in the upright position on a mechanically braked computer controlled small bicycle ergometer placed in a LBNP box. The above parameters were measured at rest and at 5 and 9 min of exercise without and with LBNP at −30 or −40 mmHg (depending on LBNP tolerance). RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: In the face of an increased sympathetic nervous activity (Ne+E, TPR, and HR increased) during exercise in LBNP, there was a decrease in CO and SV indicating that the venous return was insufficient. However, HLa was unchanged demonstrating that the blood flow to the working muscles did not suffer.     

Computation of Optimal Earth-Mars and Earth-Venus Trajectories

Accurate solutions of minimal time Earth-Mars and Earth-Venus heliocentric trajectories are calculated with a shooting-Newton method. The flight times are less and the steering histories are diferent than those presented in [1], thus contradicting the optimality claims in [1].
