The classical Laplace plane is a frozen orbit, or equilibrium solution for the averaged dynamics arising from Earth oblateness and lunisolar gravitational perturbations. The pole of the orbital plane of uncontrolled GEO satellites regress around the pole of the Laplace plane at nearly constant inclination and rate. In accordance with Friesen et al. (1993), we show how this stable plane can be used as a robust long-term disposal orbit. The current graveyard regions for end-of-life retirement of GEO payloads, which is several hundred kilometers above GEO depending on the spacecraft characteristics, cannot contain the newly discovered high area-to-mass ratio debris population. Such objects are highly susceptible to the effects of solar radiation pressure exhibiting dramatic variations in eccentricity and inclination over short periods of time. The Laplace plane graveyard, on the contrary, would trap this debris and would not allow these objects to rain down through GEO. Since placing a satellite in this inclined orbit can be expensive, we discuss some alternative disposal schemes that have acceptable cost-to-benefit ratios. 相似文献

采用数值模拟的方法,研究了发动机工作条件下涡轮转子叶片压力面异型气膜孔的冷却特性,分析了吹风比和旋转雷诺数对气膜冷却的影响.结果表明:旋转条件下,气膜射流受离心力和哥氏力作用朝叶尖方向发生偏转,射流涡结构发生改变;随着旋转雷诺数增大,气膜射流向叶尖的偏转量逐渐增加,展向冷却均匀性提高,展向平均冷却效率略有提升;同一转速下扇形孔和收敛缝型孔能有效抑制气膜分离,展向平均冷却效率沿下游单调变化,随吹风比增加而升高,吹风比越小气膜射流向叶尖偏转越明显;旋转条件下,扇形孔与收敛缝型孔射流较圆孔射流仍有明显的冷却优势. 相似文献

The present paper investigates the impact of the velocity and density ratio on the turbulent mixing process in gas turbine blade film cooling.A cooling fluid is injected from an inclined pipe at α=30° into a turbulent boundary layer profile at a freestream Reynolds number of Re∞=400000.This jet-in-a-crossflow(JICF) problem is investigated using large-eddy simulations(LES).The governing equations comprise the Navier-Stokes equations plus additional transport equations for several species to simulate a non-reacting gas mixture.A variation of the density ratio is simulated by the heat-mass transfer analogy,i.e.,gases of different density are effused into an an air crossflow at a constant temperature.An efficient large-eddy simulation method for low subsonic flows based on an implicit dual time-stepping scheme combined with low Mach number preconditioning is applied.The numerical results and experimental velocity data measured using two-component particle-image velocimetry (PIV) are in excellent agreement.The results show the dynamics of the flow field in the vicinity of the jet hole,i.e.,the recirculation region and the inclination of the shear layers,to be mainly determined by the velocity ratio.However,evaluating the cooling efficiency downstream of the jet hole the mass flux ratio proves to be the dominant similarity parameter,i.e.,the density ratio between the fluids and the velocity ratio have to be considered. 相似文献

This paper attempts to investigate the effects of stress ratio and high temperature on the HCF(high-cycle-fatigue) and VHCF(very-high-cycle-fatigue) behaviors of nickel-based wrought superalloy GH3617 M. Fatigue tests over the full HCF and VHCF regimes were conducted on superalloy GH3617 M subjected to constant-amplitude loading at five stress ratios of -1, -0.5, 0,0.4, and 0.8 in environments of 20 °C and 700 °C temperatures. From experimental observation and fractographic analysis, fatigue mechanisms were deduced to reveal the synergistic interaction between high temperature and stress ratio on the HCF and VHCF behaviors of superalloy GH3617 M. A phenomenological model was crafted from available fatigue design knowledge to evaluate the synergistic interaction, and a good correlation between predictions and experiments has been achieved. 相似文献
