Long period magnetospheric oscillations at discrete frequencies: The results of a multi-station analysis

A multi-station analysis of geomagnetic field measurements conducted for a remarkable case event, at a European and an American array shows that, although several aspects of the geomagnetic field observations show a clear latitudinal and local time dependence, simultaneous oscillations at discrete frequencies (f ≈ 1.0, 1.3, 2.2 and 3.2 mHz) are almost ubiquitously detected, from low to high latitudes both in the light and dark sector. They are driven by fluctuations of the solar wind density and dynamic pressure at the same frequencies, via the modulation of the magnetopause current. We also report clear evidence for the occurrence of resonant coupling (at f ≈ 2.2 and 3.2 mHz) between such modes and high latitude field lines. Due to the variable length of the field line through the day, oscillation modes at the same frequencies resonate at different latitudes in the daytime and nighttime region, respectively.     

WIOBSS: The Chinese low-power digital ionosonde for ionospheric backscattering detection

The ionospheric laboratory of Wuhan University has developed an ionosonde over about seven years. The prototype is designed as a portable, low-power digital MF (medium frequency) and HF (high frequency) radio system with high range and Doppler resolution. The first system is used for ionospheric oblique backscattering detection and called WIOBSS (Wuhan Ionospheric Oblique Backscattering Sounding System). WIOBSS is a portable monostatic ionosonde for both ionospheric research and HF channel management, adopting alternate transmitting and receiving patterns to transmit long coded pulse trains for high pulse compression gain. The almost perfect sequences are applied to modulate the pulse train for sounding without range sidelobes and the echo phase is used to estimate the Doppler velocity and velocity fluctuation. This paper introduces the new techniques adopted by WIOBSS and presents some observations.

本文简要介绍了放映氙灯电源的现状,详细研究了由中国民航学院三维显示技术研究所最新研制成功的放映氙灯电源中的稳流及稳纹波电路的设计思想和工作原理。理论分析和实验结果表明,本文设计的稳流及稳纹波电路显著地提高了氙灯电源的可靠性及减小了氙灯电流的纹波系数且操作简便,利于推广应用。     

GKF算法下对机动目标多步预测的误差分析

机动目标运动状态的多步预测是为了更好的为机动目标的跟踪提供数据支持,因此要保证多步预测数据的可用性,需要知道预测的精度,由此要对预测数据做误差分析。本文在对机动目标运动轨迹实施多步预测的基础上分析了多步预测过程中随机误差的传递,以及传递的随机误差对多步预测的影响。仿真结果显示,预测中传递误差方差占预测误差方差的绝大部分,是影响预测精度的最重要因素之一。     

Morphology and Frictional Characteristics Under Electrical Currents of Al203/Cu Composites Prepared by Internal Oxidation

Two AhO3/Cu composites containing 0.24 wt.% A1203 and 0.60 wt.% A1203 separately are prepared by internal oxidation.Effectsof sliding speed and pressure on the fi-ictional characteristics of the composites and copper against brass are investigated and compared.The changes in morphology of the sliding surface and subsurface are examined with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDS).The results show that the wear resistance of the AI203/Cu composites is superior to that of copperunder the same conditions.Under a given electrical current,the wear rate of AI203/Cu composites decreases as the AleO3-content increases.However,the wear rates of the Al203/Cu composites and copper increase as the sliding speed and pressure increase under drysliding condition.The main wear mechanisms for AleO3/Cu composites are of abrasion and adhesion;for copper,it is adhesion,although wear by oxidation and electrical erosion can also be observed as the speed and pressure rise.
