In the classical form, the Poisson Multi-Bernoulli Mixture (PMBM) filter uses a PMBM density to describe target birth, surviving, and death, which does not model the appearance of spawned targets. Although such a model can handle target birth, surviving, and death well, its performance may degrade when target spawning arises. The reason for this is that the original PMBM filter treats the spawned targets as birth targets, ignoring the surviving targets’ information. In this paper, we propose a Kullback–Leibler Divergence (KLD) minimization based derivation for the PMBM prediction step, including target spawning, in which the spawned targets are modeled using a Poisson Point Process (PPP). Furthermore, to improve the computational efficiency, three approximations are used to implement the proposed algorithm, such as the Variational Multi-Bernoulli (VMB) filter, the Measurement-Oriented marginal MeMBer/Poisson (MOMB/P) filter, and the Track-Oriented marginal MeMBer/Poisson (TOMB/P) filter. By introducing the two-segmented linear regression model instead of the well known quadratic fit, we were able to describe the solar activity dependence of the F2 critical frequency. Saturation features were observed and the corresponding F10.7 values at which this phenomenon occurs were obtained for different hours. The seasonal average values were found to be around 154 sfu, 138 sfu, 177 sfu and 150 sfu for March equinox, June solstice, September equinox and December solstice respectively. These affirmed that saturation phenomenon is more pronounced at the equinoxes than solstices. On the average, the threshold value of F10.7 was obtained to be 154.5 sfu for this station in the African sector of the equatorial region. 相似文献

Spaceborne SAR involves the storage and transmission of large-size sampling data. Block adaptive quantization (BAQ) is now the most widely used onboard data compression algorithm due to its good tradeoff between system performance and complexity. However, when spaceborne SAR raw data is saturated, the performance of conventional BAQ deteriorates dramatically because its precondition of Gaussian distribution of raw data no longer holds. In order to solve this problem, an improved vector quantization (VQ) algorithm is proposed. This algorithm firstly introduces saturation modification to a conventional vector quantizer, obtains the saturation codebook based on Gaussian density function, and then obtains the new vector quantizer for the whole set of Saturation Degree (SD). This algorithm makes the vector quantizer match statistical model of data for the whole set of SD, so the performance of the compression is improved. The case of the 2D signal is explicitly computed.
