A study of micrometeoroid and orbital debris (MMOD) long-term effects on solar cell samples of solar panels returned from the space station MIR has been carried out. Five samples from the solar array, which spent over 10 years in space, have been studied with the help of optical microscopes with magnification up to 1000. Craters with dimensions as small as 1m were registered. Additional large impact features were investigated by observing a large number of cells (150) with an optical microscope of small magnification. The aim of the study was to define morphological and statistical characteristics of samples surface damages as well as the extent of surface erosion caused by MMOD impacts. The results of statistical analysis of the data obtained in this study are shown to correlate with the experimental data obtained in the Hubble Telescope solar panel return experiment, and MMOD flux estimations are in good agreement with modern MMOD models. The relative surface area damaged by impacts of small size (1–100m) MMOD particles is estimated to be 0.01%, while the relative surface area of large impact features (greater than 0.1mm) is estimated to be 0.045%. 相似文献

临近空间飞行器依靠搭载的柔性太阳电池组件和储能电池组构成的能源系统,可在临近空间长期飞行和驻留,完成地面观测、无线通信、军事侦察等任务,因而成为各国航天航空领域发展的热点之一。由于太阳电池组件能量转化效率只有20%左右,大部分太阳光能量吸收后转化为热。这部分热传导到高空气球内部,将造成内部气流紊乱,增加高空气球姿态控制难度,而温度升高引起的热应力甚至可能破坏柔性太阳电池组件。本文通过计算机模拟太阳组件在高空气球蒙皮上的工作条件,建立组件结构模型及热传递数学模型,仿真得到电池组件实际工作时的温度场和应力场分布情况,对高空气球供电组件的结构优化、工作状态的掌握具有指导意义。 相似文献

The mechanical behavior of plain woven Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composites under Three-Point Bending (TPB) is investigated via experimental and numerical approaches. Multiscale models, including microscale, mesoscale and macroscale models, have been developed to characterize the TPB strength and damages. Thereinto, Representative Volume Elements (RVEs) of the microscale and mesoscale structures are established to determine the effective properties of carbon-fiber yarn and CFRP composites, respectively. Aimed at accurately and efficiently predicting the TPB behavior, an Equivalent Cross-Ply Laminate (ECPL) cell is proposed to simplify the inherent woven architecture, and the effective properties of the subcell are computed using a local homogenization approach. The macroscale model of the TPB specimen is constructed by a topology structure of ECPL cells to predict the mechanical behavior. The TPB experiments have been performed to validate the multiscale models. Both the experimental and numerical results reveal that delamination mainly appears in the top and bottom interfaces of the CFRP laminates. And matrix cracking and delamination are identified as the significant damage modes during the TPB process. Finally, the quasi-static and dynamic behaviors of plain woven composites are discussed by comparing the results of Low-Velocity Impact (LVI) and TPB simulations. 相似文献
