Submicroscopic organization of Chlorella cells cultivated under space flight conditions in three-component aquatic system has been studied. Comparison of the experimental cells with that of the controls revealed certain rearrangements of cell organelles particularly, a reduction in the amount of reserve polysaccharides in chloroplasts, increase of cell vacuolization and mitochondrion volume, complication configuration of plasmalemma evaginations and invaginations, and also disturbances in the process of cytokinesis. More over an increase in the number of Chlorella cells infected by bacteria was shown in the experimental variant. No considerable differences were established in the growth characteristics of the experimental and control populations. A comparative cytological analysis revealed general regularities of organelles in Chlorella cells cultivated under space flight condition in the uni- and multicomponent systems. 相似文献

We report the first detection of Lyman continuum (≈ 600Å) emission from a non-degenerate star. The WFC on-board ROSAT detected emission from β CMa (B1 II–III) which has a very low interstellar column. Both Kurucz LTE line-blanketed and Mihalas NLTE un-blanketed model atmospheres can match the observed count rate within the very considerable absolute calibration errors. The galactic X-ray source GX 1+4 has been undergoing remarkable changes since early 1991. The X-ray pulsar has shown fast spin down accompanied by an increase in the hard X-ray intensity. We have obtained 1.6Å resolution spectra of the optical counterpart extending the known spectrum to 8500Å. The Ca II (8498Å) line seen for the first time from this source is indicative of a nova burst scenario. The recent detection of radio loud quasars with a large high energy γ-ray luminosity is discussed, in the framework of non-thermal synchrotron self Compton models. These observations are strong evidence of relativistic beaming of the radiation, due to the absence of strong photon-photon opacity. If γ-rays are self Compton emission, these sources can be the first observed example of a Compton catastrophe, resulting from the dominance of the radiation over the magnetic energy density. Inhomogeneous and relativistic jet models can in this case explain the observed spectrum from the far infrared to the γ-rays. If, on the other hand, the magnetic energy density is dominant, then the γ-rays must be due to direct synchrotron emission, implying very large particle energies. Pure synchrotron models which take into account electron-positron pair production are then discussed. Multifrequency simultaneous observations are a powerful test of the models. 相似文献

The Energetic Gamma-Ray Experiment Telescope (EGRET) on the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory covers the high energy gamma ray energy range, approximately 30 MeV to 30 GeV, with a sensitivity considerably greater than earlier high energy gamma-ray satellites. Thus far, 4 pulsars have been detected and their properties measured, including in 3 cases the energy spectrum as a function of phase. The details of the galactic plane are being mapped and a spectra of the center region has been obtained in good agreement with that expected from cosmic ray interactions. The Magellanic clouds have been examined with the Large Magellanic Cloud having been detected at a level consistent with it having a cosmic ray density compatible with quasi-stable equilibrium. Sixteen Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN's) have been seen thus far with a high degree of certainty including 12 quasars and 4 BL Lac objects, but no Seyferts. An adaptive state estimator for passive underwater tracking of maneuvering targets is developed. The state estimator is designed specifically for a system containing unknown or randomly switching biased measurements. In modeling the stochastic system, it is assumed that the bias sequence dynamics can be modeled by a semi-Markov process. By incorporating the semi-Markovian concept into a Bayesian estimation technique, an estimator consisting of a bank of parallel, adaptively weighted, Kalman filters has been developed. Despite the large and randomly varying measurement biases, the proposed estimator, provides an accurate estimate of the system states. 相似文献
