X-ray emission from Be star/X-ray binaries

Observations of X-ray emission from Be star/X-ray binaries are reviewed. Some optical characteristics of these binaries are also presented. Theoretical aspects pertaining to the X-ray emissions are given.     

Nondestructive Characterization of RBSOA of High-Power Bipolar Transistors

Reverse-bias safe operating area (RBSOA) of high-power Darlington transistors is characterized using a 120 A/1000 V nondestructive reverse-bias second breakdown tester designed and fabricated at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Elaborate RBSOA characteristics are generated with different forward/reverse base drives and collector current levels. The effects of elevated case temperature and second-base drive on RBSOA of four-terminal Darlington devices are also discussed.     

Radar Target Detection and Map-Matching Algorithm Studies

Results of a study of adaptive threshold target detection and map-matching algorithms are presented. Log threshold processing is shown to be preferred over linear threshold processing when the clutter data surrounding the target cell is contaminated by other targets, decoy corner reflectors, or bright clutter cells. Whereas previous studies have resorted to extensive Monte-Carlo simulations of log threshold algorithms, the results were obtained using a novel analytical approach based upon Parseval's theorem.     

Automated Tracking for Aircraft Surveillance Radar Systems

An improved moving target detector (MTD) (a digital signal processor) has been designed, constructed, and tested which successfully rejects all forms of radar clutter while providing reliable detection of all aircraft within the coverage of the radar. The MTD is being tested on both terminal and enroute surveillance radars for the FAA. This processor has been integrated with automatic tracking algorithms to give complete rejection of ground clutter, heavy precipitation, and angels (birds).     

大展弦比直机翼双机身飞机中机身与机翼的最佳布置问题

为了探讨双机身大展弦比直机翼无人机中基于翼面弯曲刚度下机身与机翼的最佳布置问题,本文采用工程梁对这一问题进行建模,并利用MATLAB6．5的优化工具箱给出数值优化解。在此工作的基础上,研究了翼面扭转刚度,计算结果表明,与单机身布局相比,双机身布局中的翼面结构扭转刚度提高了4倍。结合文献[1]的工作,可以得出结论：就结构刚度(弯曲和扭转)而言,双机身布局具有一定的优势,值得做进一步的分析。     

微叠层材料及其制备工艺研究进展

着重论述了各种微叠层材料及其制备方法，认为电子束物理气相沉积是制备微叠层材料的有效方法：同时对微叠层材料性能方面的研究也作了相应的论述，并展望了我国今后在这方面的研究方向。     

不同氧化剂对丁羟(HTPB)推进剂老化性能影响的研究

本文研究了不同氧化剂对丁羟(HTPB)推进剂老化性能的影响.实验结果表明:随着推进剂老化时间的延长,最大拉伸强度增加,伸长率降低,邵氏硬度升高,失重百分数略有下降,而相对交联密度也上升.由此可以得出结论:热稳定的、产物氧化性弱的氧化剂,对于提高丁羟推进剂的老化性能是有益的.本文进一步用热重分析方法和红外光谱法对上述结果作了验证,并对丁羟推进剂的老化机理进行了初步探讨.
