The main objective of a life support system for space missions is to supply a crew with food, water and oxygen, and to eliminate their wastes. The ultimate goal is to achieve the highest degree of closure of the system using controlled processes offering a high level of reliability and flexibility. Enhancement of closure of a biological life support system (BLSS) that includes plants relies on increased regeneration of plant waste, and utilization of solid and liquid human wastes. Clearly, the robustness of a BLSS subjected to stress will be substantially determined by the robustness of the plant components of the phototrophic unit. The aim of the present work was to estimate the heat resistance of two plants (wheat and lettuce) grown on human wastes. Human exometabolites mineralized by hydrogen peroxide in an electromagnetic field were used to make a nutrient solution for the plants. We looked for a possible increase in the heat tolerance of the wheat plants using changes in photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) intensity during heat stress. At age 15 days, plants were subjected to a rise in air temperature (from 23 ± 1 °C to 44 ± 1 °С) under different PAR intensities for 4 h. The status of the photosynthetic apparatus of the plants was assessed by external СО2 gas exchange and fluorescence measurements. The increased irradiance of the plants during the high temperature period demonstrated its protective action for both the photosynthetic apparatus of the leaves and subsequent plant growth and development. The productivity of the plants subjected to temperature changes at 250 W m−2 of PAR did not differ from that of controls, whereas the productivity of the plants subjected to the same heat stress but in darkness was halved.  相似文献

In this paper we study the influence of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) polarity changes caused by the Earth passing through the IMF sector boundary on the dynamic processes taking place in neutral atmosphere within the altitude interval of the upper mesosphere–lower thermosphere (83–101 km). The analysis has revealed the influence of the IMF sector structure on dynamics of the upper mesosphere–lower thermosphere. There has been a significant seasonal variation of the wind reaction to the IMF polarity changes observed. The influence of the IMF polarity changes on neutral atmosphere dynamics within the altitude range of 83–101 km is most pronounced in the zonal component of neural wind when the IMF polarity changes from negative to positive in all the seasons except for spring and when IMF polarity changes from positive to negative – in spring only.  相似文献

A numerical and analytical method for constructing a shape of the axisymmetric body streamlined with jet blowout by the specified velocity distribution along its meridian section is proposed. The foundation of the method is the iteration process based on the solutions of an inverse problem in the plane case and a primal problem for the axisymmetric body. A recursive method for calculating decoupling zeroes in the linear multiconnected dynamic system based on the application of matrix canonization techniques is proposed. Its essence is that the problem dimension is successively decreased and reduced to finding eigenvalues of some matrix. The results obtained can be used to check controllability and observability as well as to calculate uncontrollable and unobservable modes of the dynamic system.  相似文献

I describe a simple procedure for extrapolating the observed solar magnetic field into the heliosphere, which averages the asymptotic fields computed using the standard source surface and current sheet models. The resultant field is characterized by strong latitudinal gradients (maintained by volume currents outside the source surface) and by abrupt reversals in direction at the current sheets. The model yields good agreement with the observed long-term variation of the radial IMF component in the ecliptic, and is used to predict the variation of |B r | along the latitudinal trajectory of Ulysses during 1990–1994. As found in earlier studies, the magnitude ofB r at any latitude is determined largely by the strength and relative orientation of the Sun's dipole moment.  相似文献

It is shown that the optimal guidance problem can be handled as a Bolza-type problem which can be solved by straightforward calculation. The solution proves to be different from that given by Yang, et al. (1989) and is verified to be a minimum performance index solution. Also presented is an alternate unified approach to the solution of the nonlinear system of differential equation of the generalized proportional navigation law discussed earlier by Yang, et al. This unified equation has been solved for all the different cases of proportional navigation for which closed-form solutions have been published by earlier authors  相似文献

A decentralized detection problem is considered in which a number of identical sensors transmit a finite-valued function of their observations to a fusion center which makes a final decision on one of M alternative hypotheses. The authors consider the case in which the number of sensors is large, and they derive (asymptotically) optimal rules for determining the messages of the sensors when the observations are generated from a simple and symmetrical set of discrete distributions. They also consider the tradeoff between the number of sensors and the communication rate of each sensor when there is a constraint on the total communication rate from the sensors to the fusion center. The results suggest that it is preferable to have several independent sensors transmitting low-rate (coarse) information instead of a few sensors transmitting high-rate (very detailed) information. They also suggest that an M-ary hypothesis testing problem can be viewed as a collection of M(M-1)/2 binary hypothesis testing problems. From this point of view the most useful messages (decision rules) are those that provide information to the fusion center that is relevant to the largest possible numbers of these binary hypothesis testing problems  相似文献

The trajectory control of aircraft in rapid, nonlinear maneuvers is discussed. Based on nonlinear invertibility theory, a control law is derived to independently control roll, pitch, and sideslip angles using rudder, elevator, and aileron. Integral feedback is introduced in order to obtain robustness in the control system to parameter uncertainty. The stability of the zero dynamics is examined. Simulation results are presented to show that in a closed-loop system, precise simultaneous lateral and longitudinal maneuvers can be performed despite the presence of uncertainty in the stability derivatives  相似文献
