The author treats the question of control of a class of nonlinear systems using state variable feedback whose input/output map is nearly singular. Although the existing decoupling theory is applicable to such systems, this requires a large amount of control, which may not be permissible. A decoupling approach using state variable feedback in an approximate sense, but requiring a small control magnitude is considered. A decoupling scheme is presented that gives rise to a singularly perturbed system describing the fast dynamics of the control vector. The quasi-steady-state solution of the system gives a control law that decouples the system in an approximate way. The controller includes a servocompensator and a reference trajectory generator. Based on this result, a control law for approximate decoupling of roll angle, angle of attack, and sideslip in rapid, nonlinear airplane maneuvers is derived. Simulated responses of the closed-loop system show that large, simultaneous lateral and longitudinal maneuvers can be accurately performed in spite of uncertainty in stability derivatives 相似文献

An analysis of the motion of a single-axis rate gyroscope mounted in a space vehicle which has uncertain time-varying acceleration and deceleration ?x(t) about the output axis of the gyro is presented. Using a Lyapunov function, a condition for boundedness of the gyro motion is derived. It is shown that by a proper selection of the parameters of the gyro, its motion can be forced to remain in a small neighborhood (called region of ultimate boundedness) of the origin in ? - ? plane after a certain finite interval of time for any bounded uncertain ?x(t). Analytical relations for the selection of gyro parameters to keep the error caused in the measurement of the input rate due to ?x within desirable limits are derived. 相似文献

The probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter is a practical alternative to the optimal Bayesian multi-target Alter based on finite set statistics. It propagates the PHD function, a first-order moment of the full multi-target posterior density. The peaks of the PHD function give estimates of target states. However, the PHD filter keeps no record of target identities and hence does not produce track-valued estimates of individual targets. We propose two different schemes according to which PHD filter can provide track-valued estimates of individual targets. Both schemes use the probabilistic data-association functionality albeit in different ways. In the first scheme, the outputs of the PHD filter are partitioned into tracks by performing track-to-estimate association. The second scheme uses the PHD filter as a clutter filter to eliminate some of the clutter from the measurement set before it is subjected to existing data association techniques. In both schemes, the PHD filter effectively reduces the size of the data that would be subject to data association. We consider the use of multiple hypothesis tracking (MHT) for the purpose of data association. The performance of the proposed schemes are discussed and compared with that of MHT. 相似文献

The ionospheric total electron content (TEC), derived by analyzing dual frequency signals from the Global Positioning System (GPS) recorded near the Indian equatorial anomaly region, Varanasi (geomagnetic latitude 14°, 55′N, geomagnetic longitude 154°E) is studied. Specifically, we studied monthly, seasonal and annual variations as well as solar and geomagnetic effects on the equatorial ionospheric anomaly (EIA) during the solar minimum period from May 2007 to April 2008. It is found that the daily maximum TEC near equatorial anomaly crest yield their maximum values during the equinox months and their minimum values during the summer. Using monthly averaged peak magnitude of TEC, a clear semiannual variation is seen with two maxima occurring in both spring and autumn. Statistical studies indicate that the variation of EIA crest in TEC is poorly correlated with Dst-index (r = −0.03) but correlated well with Kp-index (r = 0.82). The EIA crest in TEC is found to be more developed around 12:30 LT. 相似文献

Employing a dual frequency GPS-receiver, ionospheric total electron (TEC) measurements have been in progress at Agra station in India (Geograph. lat. 27.2°N, long. 78°E) since 1 April 2006. In this paper, the TEC data have been analyzed for a period of one month from 1 April-1 May 2013 to examine the effect of multiple earthquakes, some of which occurred on the same day of 16 April 2013, and others occurred in the same month of April, 2013 in India and neighboring countries. We process the data using quartile and epoch analysis based statistical techniques and show that out of all the earthquakes, the one of the largest magnitude (M = 7.8) that occurred on Pakistan-Iran border caused anomalous enhancements and depletions in TEC 1–9 days before the occurrence of main sock. The E × B drift mechanism is suggested for the anomalies to occur in which the seismogenic electric field E is generated in a process suggested by Pulinets (2004). 相似文献

The vision of the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) is the achievement of societal benefits through voluntary contribution and sharing of data, metadata and products at no or minimum cost. Such undertakings, where contribution provides positive externalities, benefiting contributors and non-contributors alike, are often described as ‘social dilemmas’, usually resulting in small levels of voluntary contribution. We investigate the benefits and challenges of voluntary contribution to GEOSS, surveying economic and game theoretic literature and examining how the concepts of social dilemmas apply to the provision of GEOSS. We conduct an exploratory survey among individuals involved in the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) to understand their perception of voluntarily contribution. Even though contribution to GEOSS was perceived as rather low, e.g. because of a perceived lack of funds, commitment or organization, survey respondents also perceived many (exclusive) benefits of contribution, e.g. networking, visibility for their work or collaborating with motivated individuals. To increase participation, respondents suggested increasing financial support and raising awareness of GEOSS. We conclude that communicating the efficacy of individuals' contributions, the personal benefits of contribution and strengthening of group identity and knowledge about fellow participants' work can constitute incentives for future voluntary contribution. This could be facilitated by an externally established institution providing a framework for cooperation, or by institutions, agreements or frameworks agreed upon by contributors themselves. 相似文献

The question of inertial trajectory control of aircraft in the three-dimensional space is discussed. It is assumed that the nonlinear aircraft model has uncertain aerodynamic derivatives. The control system is decomposed into a variable structure outer loop and an adaptive inner loop. The outer-loop feedback control system accomplishes (x,y,z) position trajectory and sideslip angle control using the derivative of thrust and three angular velocity components (p,q,r) as virtual control inputs. Then an adaptive inner feedback loop is designed, which produces the desired angular rotations of aircraft using aileron, elevator, and rudder control surfaces to complete the maneuver. Simplification in the inner-loop design is obtained based on a two-time scale (singular perturbation) design approach by ignoring the derivative of the virtual angular velocity vector, which is a function of slow variables. These results are applied to a simplified F/A-18 model. Simulation results are presented which show that in the closed-loop system asymptotic trajectory control is accomplished in spite of uncertainties in the model at different flight conditions. 相似文献

Random finite sets (RFSs) are natural representations of multitarget states and observations that allow multisensor multitarget filtering to fit in the unifying random set framework for data fusion. Although the foundation has been established in the form of finite set statistics (FISST), its relationship to conventional probability is not clear. Furthermore, optimal Bayesian multitarget filtering is not yet practical due to the inherent computational hurdle. Even the probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter, which propagates only the first moment (or PHD) instead of the full multitarget posterior, still involves multiple integrals with no closed forms in general. This article establishes the relationship between FISST and conventional probability that leads to the development of a sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) multitarget filter. In addition, an SMC implementation of the PHD filter is proposed and demonstrated on a number of simulated scenarios. Both of the proposed filters are suitable for problems involving nonlinear nonGaussian dynamics. Convergence results for these filters are also established. 相似文献

Ionospheric perturbations in possible association with a major earthquake (EQ) (M?=?8.5) which occurred in India-Oceania region are investigated by monitoring subionospheric propagation of VLF signals transmitted from the NWC transmitter (F?=?19.8?kHz), Australia to a receiving station at Varanasi (geographic lat. 25.3°N, long 82.99°E), India. The EQ occurred on 11 April 2012 at 08:38:35?h UT (magnitude?≈?8.5, depth?=?10?km, and lat.?=?2.3°N, long.?=?93.0°E). A significant increase of few days before the EQ has been observed by using the VLF nighttime amplitude fluctuation method (fixed frequency transmitter signal). The analysis of total electron contents (TEC) derived from the global positioning system (GPS) at three different stations namely, Hyderabad (latitude 17.38°N, longitude 78.48°E), Singapore (latitude 1.37°N, longitude 103.84°E) and Port Blair (latitude 11.62°N, longitude 92.72°E) due to this EQ has also been presented. Significant perturbation in TEC data (enhancements and depletion) is noted before and after the main shock of the EQ. Satellite observations have revealed solitary potential structures in the Earth’s magnetotail region. These structures have both positive (compressive) and negative (rarefactive) electrostatic potentials. In this paper we study the electron-acoustic solitary waves (EASWs) in an unmagnetized plasma consisting of cold plasma electrons and isothermal ions with two different temperatures. Using the reductive perturbation method, the nonlinear evolution of such structures is studied. The numerical computations are performed to study the role of two temperature ions in the generation of EASWs. In this case, the model supports the existence of both positive and negative electrostatic potentials with bipolar pulses. The electric field associated with these positive and negative solitary structures are numerically computed. The present study could be useful to construe the compressive and rarefactive electric field bipolar pulses associated with the BEN type emissions in the magnetospheric regions where the electron beams are not present. 相似文献
