Computational Research of the Main Rotor Hover and Vertical Descent States Based on the Nonlinear Blade Vortex Model

The research is conducted of aerodynamic performance of the Mi-8 helicopter main rotor in the hover state and the vertical descent state, including vortex ring states (VRSs). Total and distributed aerodynamic performance, wake patterns, and main rotor flow patterns are calculated. The findings and results were compared with those provided by other researchers.     

Parametric Modeling of Circuit Model for AC Glow Discharge in Air

In the parametric modeling of the circuit model for glow discharge in air,a new method for the design of glow discharge circuit model is presented.The new circuit model is an important reference for the design of plasma power supply,the simulation of glow discharge plasma actuator and the simulation of glow discharge plasma anemometer.The modeling approach consists in developing an electrical model of the glow discharge in air based on circuit components.The structure of the circuit model is established according to the theoretical analysis and the experimental device.Then the parameters of the circuit model are obtained based on the circuit analysis.Finally,the circuit model is verified by comparing the simulation current with the experimental current.This model takes into account the whole framework of the air glow discharge including the sheath and the plasma area.The built circuit model is feasible and reliable,thus being instructive for the investigation of the glow discharge in air.     

Simulation analysis for effects of bone loss on acceleration tolerance of human lumbar vertebra

The purpose of the present study was to analyze and predict the changes in acceleration tolerance of human vertebra as a result of bone loss caused by long-term space flight. A human L3–L4 vertebra FEM model was constructed, in which the cancellous bone was separated, and surrounding ligaments were also taken into account. The simulation results demonstrated that bone loss has more of an effect on the acceleration tolerance in x-direction. The results serve to aid in the creation of new acceleration tolerance standards, ensuring astronauts return home safely after long-term space flight. This study shows that more attention should be focused on the bone degradation of crew members and to create new protective designs for space capsules in the future.     

Predicting performance in manually controlled rendezvous and docking through spatial abilities

Manually controlled rendezvous and docking (manual RVD) is a challenging space task for astronauts. This study aims to identify spatial abilities that are critical for accomplishing manual RVD. Based on task analysis, spatial abilities were deduced to be critical for accomplishing manual RVD. 15 Male participants performed manual RVD task simulations and spatial ability tests (the object-manipulation spatial ability and spatial orientation ability). Participants’ performance in the test of visualization of viewpoints (which measures the spatial orientation ability) was found to be significantly correlated with their manual RVD performance, indicating that the spatial orientation ability in the sense of perspective taking is particularly important for accomplishing manual RVD.

随着现代安检技术与健康、隐私问题之间的矛盾愈加突出,人们迫切需要高效、便捷、安全的安检技术。首先介绍太赫兹非成像光谱探测技术的原理,提出适合于安检应用的太赫兹光谱探测系统技术指标,然后基于ZEMAX设计出配合该技术指标的光学系统,采用非序列模式对其进行仿真和评价,最后基于ProE设计完成了配合上述光学系统的紧凑型探测系统结构,实现了探测系统的手持式应用。     

Synthesis of sliding modes in the systems with uncertain disturbances and measurement errors

The techniques of forming the mobile sliding manifolds and vector controls, which bring these systems into the sliding modes under continuous action of uncertain factors, namely limited disturbances and total errors in measurements, are developed for dynamic systems with discontinuous control. The techniques are applicable for effective control of complex aerospace objects.
