Statistical analysis of stretch shaping process of biconvex skin

The results of shaping process were obtained by the process scheme of serial stretching for biconvex skin of workpieces using the ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. The analysis is based on different flow material characteristics during plastic deformation at solid friction. A statistical analysis of the calculation results for disturbing factors assessment is carried out.     

Methods for investigating the unmanned aerial vehicle electric actuator performance in aeroelasticity tasks

Theoretical and experimental methods of investigating the performance of an electric actuator of maneuverable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is considered in order to solve the aeroelasticity tasks. Models of the stability analysis for the rudder–actuator system as well as the examples of numerical and experimental studies of this system performance are given.     

Solution of the flyby problem for large space debris at sun-synchronous orbits

the paper considers the flyby problem related to large space debris (LSD) objects at low earth orbits. The data on the overall dimensions of known last and upper stages of launch vehicles makes it possible to single out five compact groups of such objects from the NORAD catalog in the 500–2000 km altitude interval. The orbits of objects of each group have approximately the same inclinations. The features of the mutual distribution of the orbital planes of LSD objects in the group are shown in a portrait of the evolution of deviations of the right ascension of ascending nodes (RAAN). In the case of the first three groups (inclinations of 71°, 74°, and 81°), the straight lines of relative RAAN deviations of object orbits barely intersect each other. The fourth (83°) and fifth (97°–100°) LSD groups include a considerable number of objects whose orbits are described by straight lines (diagonals), which intersect other lines many times. The use of diagonals makes it possible to significantly reduce the temporal and total characteristic velocity expenditures required for object flybys, but it complicates determination of the flyby sequence. Diagonal solutions can be obtained using elements of graph theory. A solution to the flyby problem is presented for the case of group 5, formed of LSD objects at sun-synchronous orbits.     

Study of the Microphonics for Prospective Space-Based Neutron and Gamma-Ray Detectors and Methods for its Suppression

The results of testing a number of space-based detectors that contain PMTs or high-voltage electrodes for the noise from the microphonics that occurs in the signal path due to external mechanical action have been presented. A method for the vibration isolation of instruments aboard a spacecraft has been proposed to reduce their responsivity to vibrations.     

The IMISS-1 Experiment for Recording and Analysis of Accelerations in Orbital Flight

The IMISS-1 experiment represents the second step in solving the problem of the creation of the gaze stabilization corrector. This device is designed to correct the effect of the gaze stabilization delay under microgravity. IMISS-1 continues research started by the Tat’yana-2 satellite. This research will be continued on board the International Space Station. At this stage we study the possibility of registration of angular and linear accelerations acting on the sensitive mass in terms of Low Earth Orbit flight, using MEMS sensors.     

Study of Dynamic Loads of Aircraft Bevel Gear Systems

This paper studies the dynamic loads of bevel gears with circular and straight teeth with the overlap factors less than two (ε_α < 2) and more than two (ε_α > 2). The advantages of the gears with straight teeth with ε_α > 2 are shown.     

The Stressed State of a Stiffened Conical Shell with Thermal Protective Coating with Temperature-Dependent Properties

The equations of the mathematical model are solved in terms of special functions. The results for the design scheme of the aircraft forebody are obtained with a guaranteed accuracy by the stable method of functional normalization.     

Probabilistic estimation of fulfilling favorable conditions to realize the gravity-sensitive processes aboard a space laboratory

We consider a probabilistic estimation of microaccelerations being produced in the inboard environment of an orbital laboratory as a random process; based on this estimation we analyzed a probability of fulfilling the favorable conditions to realize gravity-sensitive processes. The approach suggested can be applied when designing a space laboratory to meet the requirements for the microaccelerations inside the working zone of technological equipment.     

To a problem of bending an orthotropic cylindrical shell by locally applied radial forces

The solution is constructed based on using the general theory of physically orthotropic shells generalizing the Vlasov equations. The numerical results demonstrating the orthotropy influence on the stress strain state are presented.
