After 25 years of laboratory research on protoplanetary dust agglomeration, a consistent picture of the various processes that involve colliding dust aggregates has emerged. Besides sticking, bouncing and fragmentation, other effects, like, e.g., erosion or mass transfer, have now been extensively studied. Coagulation simulations consistently show that \(\upmu\mbox{m}\)-sized dust grains can grow to mm- to cm-sized aggregates before they encounter the bouncing barrier, whereas sub-\(\upmu\mbox{m}\)-sized water-ice particles can directly grow to planetesimal sizes. For siliceous materials, other processes have to be responsible for turning the dust aggregates into planetesimals. In this article, these processes are discussed, the physical properties of the emerging dusty or icy planetesimals are presented and compared to empirical evidence from within and without the Solar System. In conclusion, the formation of planetesimals by a gravitational collapse of dust “pebbles” seems the most likely.  相似文献

An optimization method for composite lattice shell structures under axially compressive loads is proposed aiming at the preliminary design. The method implements and improves some previous results of the fully analytical approach which is currently adopted at the state-of-the-art. The fully analytical approach provides the minimum mass solution under buckling and strength constraints, irrespective of other possible design limitations, such as, shell stiffness constraints. As a consequence, the minimum mass solution turns out to be satisfactory whereas other requirements are absent or automatically achieved but, on the contrary, it can drive the final preliminary configuration far from the real optimum.The proposed method implements numerical minimization allowing the designer to easily handle suboptimal configurations which are located in the vicinity of the minimum mass solution. When stiffness requirement is present (as in most cases) the benefit of this approach – in terms of weight saving with respect to the analytical design – is finally shown with a practical example.  相似文献

Every year in fall and spring the Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) will observe directly the interstellar gas flow at 1 AU over periods of several months. The IBEX-Lo sensor employs a powerful triple time-of-flight mass spectrometer. It can distinguish and image the O and He flow distributions in the northern fall and spring, making use of sensor viewing perpendicular to the Sun-pointing spin axis. To effectively image the narrow flow distributions IBEX-Lo has a high angular resolution quadrant in its collimator. This quadrant is employed selectively for the interstellar gas flow viewing in the spring by electrostatically shutting off the remainder of the aperture. The operational scenarios, the expected data, and the necessary modeling to extract the interstellar parameters and the conditions in the heliospheric boundary are described. The combination of two key interstellar species will facilitate a direct comparison of the pristine interstellar flow, represented by He, which has not been altered in the heliospheric boundary region, with a flow that is processed in the outer heliosheath, represented by O. The O flow distribution consists of a depleted pristine component and decelerated and heated neutrals. Extracting the latter so-called secondary component of interstellar neutrals will provide quantitative constraints for several important parameters of the heliosheath interaction in current global heliospheric models. Finding the fraction and width of the secondary component yields an independent value for the global filtration factor of species, such as O and H. Thus far filtration can only be inferred, barring observations in the local interstellar cloud proper. The direction of the secondary component will provide independent information on the interstellar magnetic field strength and orientation, which has been inferred from SOHO SWAN Ly-α backscattering observations and the two Voyager crossings of the termination shock.  相似文献

采用LES(large eddy simulation)+FW-H(Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings)方程,研究了圆柱表面使用不同PPI(pore number per inch)和厚度的多孔介质对圆柱尾迹及圆柱-翼型干涉噪声的影响,探索了多孔介质的降噪规律和机理。结果表明:多孔介质能稳定圆柱表面的剪切层,抑制旋涡脱落,从而削弱尾迹对下游翼型的影响,圆柱单音噪声最大可降79 dB,翼型单音峰值降低13.22 dB,宽频噪声降低20 dB;多孔材料PPI的变化对降噪效果影响较小,而厚度是影响流场模态、降噪效果及气动性能的一个关键参数;多孔材料厚度合适时,圆柱-翼型流场形态为“剪切层模态”,可有效降低湍流干涉噪声;多孔材料厚度较小时,发现了一种流场形态,即“剪切层-尾迹模态”,导致翼型噪声增大;合适的多孔介质厚度不仅降噪效果显著,对圆柱-翼型的气动性能也有改善作用。  相似文献

为了改善轴对称进气道的攻角特性,提出一种简单易实现的轴对称变几何方法:通过旋转轴对称进气道第1级压缩锥改变进气道前体激波的角度和位置.采用数值仿真方法研究了来流马赫数为3和4时,不同飞行攻角条件下一级锥可调变几何进气道的三维流场和性能特性,并与定几何进气道进行对比分析.结果表明:大攻角下,采用一级锥可调进气道除了可以提高进气道的质量流量系数外,还有效缓解了背风侧低能流堆积问题;存在一个最佳的旋转角度,使该攻角下进气道性能最高;随着攻角的增大,所需的旋转角度增大,进气道所获得的性能增益也随之提高,在马赫数为3,攻角为14°时推力增益达到7.7%.   相似文献
