The corotating particle events give us a unique opportunity to probe the three-dimensional structures of the heliosphere. This is especially true if we have observations over a period of extreme stability of the CIRs, such as existed over the recent solar minimum. We discuss how the observations fit into the context of current heliospheric magnetic field models. The energetic particle signatures of CIRs throughout the regions of the heliosphere covered by the deep-space missions are reviewed. The CIRs accelerate these particles and at the same time modulate both the high energy galactic cosmic rays and the anomalous cosmic rays. 相似文献

针对一种双下侧布局带泄流腔的二元进气道进行了试验研究.试验时,来流速度范围Ma=2.0~3.5,姿态角范围为α=-4°~10°,β=0°~4°.试验获得了进气道的反压特性曲线、速度特性曲线、迎角特性曲线和侧滑角特性曲线.分析表明,随着来流速度和迎角的增加,进气道的流量系数先增加,在设计点达到最大,之后由于弹身头部激波的影响略有减小.侧滑时两侧进气道气流状态不同,工作范围由性能较低的迎风侧进气道来决定.另外,通过分析进气道的沿程静压分布曲线,说明泄流腔结构能使结尾激波停留在泄流腔边缘,扩大了进气道的工作范围. 相似文献

The Solar Electron and Proton Telescope (SEPT), one of four instruments of the Solar Energetic Particle (SEP) suite for the IMPACT investigation, is designed to provide the three-dimensional distribution of energetic electrons and protons with good energy and time resolution. This knowledge is essential for characterizing the dynamic behaviour of CME associated and solar flare associated events. SEPT consists of two dual double-ended magnet/foil particle telescopes which cleanly separate and measure electrons in the energy range from 30–400 keV and protons from 60–7?000 keV. Anisotropy information on a non-spinning spacecraft is provided by the two separate telescopes: SEPT-E looking in the ecliptic plane along the Parker spiral magnetic field both towards and away from the Sun, and SEPT-NS looking vertical to the ecliptic plane towards North and South. The dual set-up refers to two adjacent sensor apertures for each of the four view directions: one for protons, one for electrons. The double-ended set-up refers to the detector stack with view cones in two opposite directions: one side (electron side) is covered by a thin foil, the other side (proton side) is surrounded by a magnet. The thin foil leaves the electron spectrum essentially unchanged but stops low energy protons. The magnet sweeps away electrons but lets ions pass. The total geometry factor for electrons and protons is 0.52 cm2?sr and 0.68 cm2?sr, respectively. Using the high-resolution mass spectrometer CELIAS/MTOF on board SOHO we have measured the solar wind isotope abundance ratios
of Si, Ne, and Mg and their variations in different solar wind regimes with bulk velocities ranging from 330 km/s to 650 km/s.
Data indicate a small systematic depletion of the heavier isotopes in the slow solar wind on the order of (1.4±1.3)% per amu
(2σ-error) compared to their abundances in the fast solar wind from coronal holes. These variations in the solar wind isotopic
composition represent a pure mass-dependent effect because the different isotopes of an element pass the inner corona with
the same charge state distribution. The influence of particle mass on the acceleration of minor solar wind ions is discussed
in the context of theoretical models and recent optical observations with other SOHO instruments.

DNA damage induced by heavy ions in bacterial cells and bacteriophages such as Bacillus subtilis, E. coli and Bacteriophage T1 were investigated by analyzing the double strand breaks in the chromosomal DNA. This kind of lesion is considered as one of the main reasons for lethal events. To analyze double strand breaks in long molecules of DNA--up to some Mbp in length--the technique of pulse field agarose gel electrophoresis has been used. This allows the detection of one double strand break per genome. Cell lysis and DNA isolation were performed in small agarose blocks directly. This procedure secured minimum DNA destruction by shearing forces. After running a gel, the DNA was stained with ethidium bromide. The light intensity of ethidium bromide fluorescence for both the outcoming (running) DNA and the remaining intact DNA were measured by scanning. The mean number of double strand breaks was calculated by determining the quotient of these intensities. Strand break induction after heavy ion and X-ray irradiation was compared. 相似文献

The effects of heavy ions on the mechanisms of free radical formation in DNA-constituents as compared to low-LET irradiation are investigated by means of Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. Dose-yield curves were measured at low (T < 100 K) and ambient temperatures in order to obtain the G-value, that is number of radicals formed per 100 eV absorbed energy. These G-values show a characteristic LET-dependence and are one to two orders of magnitude lower than for low-LET irradiation. Measurements on 2'Deoxycytidine at 300 K using combined heavy ion and X-ray irradiation methods suggested that this effect can be partially explained by a destruction of radicals during the irradiation. 相似文献

An experiment using plant protoplasts has been accepted for the IML-1 Space Shuttle mission scheduled for 1991. Preparatory experiments have been performed using both fast and slow rotating clinostats and in orbit to study the effect of simulated and real weightlessness on protoplast regeneration. Late access to the space vehicles before launch has required special attention since it is important to delay cell wall regeneration until the samples are in orbit. On a flight on Biokosmos 9 ("Kosmos-2044") in September 1989 some preliminary results were obtained. Compared to the ground control, the growth of both carrot and rapeseed protoplasts was decreased by 18% and 44% respectively, after 14 days in orbit. The results also indicated that there is less cell wall regeneration under micro-g conditions. Compared to the ground controls the production of cellulose in rapeseed and carrot flight samples was only 46% and 29% respectively. The production of hemicellulose in the flight samples was 63% and 67% respectively of that of the ground controls. In both cases all samples reached the stage of callus development. The peroxidase activity was also found to be lower in the flight samples than in the ground controls, and the number of different isoenzymes was decreased in the flight samples. In general, the regeneration processes were retarded in the flight samples with respect to the ground controls. From a simulation experiment for IML-1 performed in January 1990 at ESTEC, Holland, regenerated plants have been obtained. These results are discussed and compared to the results obtained on Biokosmos 9. Protoplast regeneration did not develop beyond the callus stage in either the flight or the ground control samples from the Biokosmos 9 experiment. 相似文献

传统经验大气密度模式预测大气密度存在的较大误差会引起低轨卫星轨道预报误差,对卫星的再入轨、控制计划、碰撞规避及精密定轨造成不利影响.利用天宫一号卫星探测数据,针对大气NRLMSISE-00模式计算的误差特点,在地磁相对平静(Ap ≤ 30)的时间段内,对相近地方时和纬度的模式误差分布进行分析发现,相近地方时和纬度的模式误差分布基本相同.利用二维核回归估计方法,对与预测点相近地方时和纬度的样本误差进行加权,估计预测点处的模式误差,进而按距离预测日期天数的长短,采用加权修正法对模式预测结果进行修正,修正后大气模式误差的均方差(RMS)由14.09%降至4.05%.研究结果表明,该修正方法可以显著提高大气密度预报精度. 相似文献
