A two-dimensional position-sensitive spectroscopic proportional counter for balloon-borne hard X-ray astronomy

A new design of position sensitive spectroscopic proportional counter is described, for use in a balloon borne hard x-ray telescope. Initial position and spectral resolution data from a one-dimensional laboratory prototype are reported. With this device, the final telescope will have an angular resolution of better than 10 minutes of arc.     

Preliminary results of Cytos 2 experiment.

Cytos 2 experiment, carried out during the French-Soviet manned flight (July 1982), has studied the antibiotics sensitivity of bacteria cultivated in vitro during the orbital flight. The results show an increase of the antibiotics resistance and a larger thickness of the cellular envelope for the inflight cells. The increase of antibiotics resistance can be related to a stimulating effect of space on the cell growth rate or to changes of the cellular envelope structure.     

Distribution and variability of accelerated electrons at Mars

We investigate accelerated electrons observed by Mars Global Surveyor (MGS), using data from the Electron Reflectometer (ER) instrument. We find three different types of accelerated electron events. Current sheet events occur over regions with weak or no crustal fields, have the highest electron energy fluxes, and are likely located on draped magnetotail fields. Extended events occur over regions with moderate crustal magnetic fields, and are most often observed on closed magnetic field lines. Localized events have the lowest energy fluxes, occur in strong magnetic cusp regions, and are the most likely kind of event to be found on open magnetic field lines. Some localized events have clear signatures of field-aligned currents; these events have much higher electron fluxes, and are preferentially observed on radially oriented open magnetic field lines. Electron acceleration events, especially localized events, are similar in many ways to events observed in the terrestrial auroral zone. However, physical processes related to those found in the terrestrial cusp and/or plasmasheet could also be responsible for accelerating electrons at Mars.     

The Broad Band X-Ray Telescope

The Broad-Band X-Ray Telescope (BBXRT) has been designed to perform high sensitivity, moderate resolution spectrophototnetry of X-ray sources in the 0.3–12 keV band from the Shuttle. It consists of a coaligned pair of high throughput, conical X-ray imaging mirrors, with a cryogenically-cooled, multiple element, Si(Li) spectrometer at the focus of each. On axis, BBXRT will have an effective area of 580 cm² at 2 keV and 250 cm² at 7 keV, and a spectral resolution of 110 eV at 2 keV and 150 eV at 7 keV. A 10⁴ s observation with BBXRT will allow a determination of the continuum spectral shape for sources near the Einstein deep survey limit.     

Analysis of solar degradation to TDRS S-band phased array antenna

A study of the distribution of gain-to-noise-temperature (G/T) values for the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) satellite is described. The statistics of the G/T values are determined by a Monte Carlo simulation of the orbital geometry of the Sun and Moon, and the gain and noise temperature calculations is included. The results and their underlying assumptions are described     

Viscous fluid flow in an elastic pipeline

Basic equations of hydrodynamics in an elastic pipeline that are found using the vectorial notation of Newton’s law for a viscous fluid are presented. An analog of Poiseuille’s formula for the fluid flowrate in the elastic pipeline and the results of the comparative analysis of a viscous flow in elastic and rigid pipelines are given. It is shown that the ratio of the maximal fluid velocity in the pipeline cross section and the section-average velocity is similar for elastic and rigid pipelines.

通过使用灰色模型预测了西安市2009-2015年的工业废气排放总量.预测结果经过残差检验、关联度检验和后验差检验,误差在允许范围内.可以有效地为西安市制定大气污染控制政策和规划提供参考数据.     

空中加油伸缩管装置控制系统研究

论述了空中加油伸缩管控制系统的基本组成和工作原理,提出了控制系统设计中需要考虑的一些关键问题,进行了两种控制模态的控制律初步设计,并给出了关键技术问题的解决措施,最后进行了理论分析和仿真验证。仿真验证结果表明,所设计的控制系统正确、有效,可为我国发展硬式空中加油机提供参考。     

某型飞机后边条焊接盒段优化研究

某型飞机后边条焊接盒段是用于安装平尾的重要受力构件,由材料为30CrMnSiA的板弯件、机加件及加强筋焊接组合而成。由于盒段焊缝数量多、零件壁厚薄,故在组合焊接时容易出现焊接变形、变形后校形困难等问题,使焊缝质量难以保证。本文对焊接盒段结构方案进行了优化研究,在最终选定的结构优化方案中,其盒段壁板为整体机加成型,大量采用机械连接,焊缝数量少,焊接形式简单,缩短了盒段的焊接周期,改善了焊接盒段生产的工艺性,满足了该型号飞机的批产要求。

A technique of integral diagnostics for an RF inductively coupled plasma gas discharge unit of an ion thruster is proposed. This technique includes a priori measurements of antenna coil electrical parameters in free space and in assembled state as well as experimental determination of the antenna coil currents with and without discharge.
