A technique for presentation and application of the propeller fan multidimensional characteristics in semi-full-scale simulation of a gas turbine engine and its automatic control system

A technique for linear interpolation of the multidimensional characteristics of a coaxial propeller fan with opposite rotation propellers is proposed; the technique makes it possible to simulate the turbofan engine operation in the entire range of flight conditions and reduce expenses for fullscale tests. The mathematical models obtained meet the requirements imposed in the semi-full-scale simulation.

The problem of determining the “potential” number of integration steps by explicit difference schemes is solved within the framework of the prediction model for chemically non-equilibrium processes.     

On Relationship of Flow Swirl Parameters and Gas-Dynamic Efficiency of Gas Turbine Engine Interturbine Transition Duct

The paper highlights significance of the interturbine transition duct as part of the high pressure and low pressure turbine spool. The correlations have been suggested allowing us to estimate variation of the average cross section flow swirl while its passing the interturbine transition duct.     

The GYROLITE: Is it Unstable?

A new derivation of the GYROLITE stability criterion is presented. It is confirmed that, for the satellite to have a stable attitude, the spinning part must have a favorable inertia ratio.
