TC Satellites Work Longer Than Planned

Aconclusion meeting on the in- orbit operation of TC satellites was held recently by Aerospace Dongfanghong Small Satellite Company, the satellite manufacturer and the Double Star customer, Space Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Beijing. It was announced at the meeting that TC-1 launched on Dec. 30, 2003 and TC-2 on July 25, 2004 have been operating well. TC-1 was designed to work for 18 months and TC-2 for 12 months. Shenzhou 4 Experiments Completed

Center for Space Science and Applied Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences announced recently that the development and production of Shenzhou 5 is being accelerated. Everything is going on well with the astronauts' training and Shenzhou 5 will be launched as scheduled. It is also reported that all the science experiments conducted on orbit by Shenzhou 4, which was launched successfully last year, have been completed. It was the first time for our country to survey the overall space environment in large scale for Shenzhou spaceship's operating on orbit, making "a sketch map of road condition".
