The Chang’e 2 satellite, developed and launched by CASC, has travelled deeper into outer space at about 20 million km from the Earth, marking a new breakthrough in the ability of the nation’s lunar and deep space exploration project. The probe is now continuing its deep space travel under normal conditions. CASC undertook the development and launch of lunar satellite and launch vehicle for the nation’s lunar exploration program. On October 24, 2007, the first indigenously developed lunar exploration satellite, Chang’e 1, was launched into space successfully. Chang’e 2 was put into orbit on October 1, 2010 from the Xichang Satellite  相似文献

Since its successful launch on October 1 this past year, Chang’e 2 hasoperated in space for more than 300days and completed its preset lunar exploration mission without fault. At 17:10 on June 9 this year, Chang’e 2 left its lunarorbit, flying to the Lagrangian Point L2 to explore deep space beyond the moon. This pioneering trip from the moon shall lay the foundation for China’s next step, the Mars exploration program. At 23:27 on  相似文献

正The Chang’e 4 lunar probe is planned to be launched this December from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. It will be the first ever attempt of a soft landing and roving on the far side of the moon. The configuration of the Chang’e 4 lander and rover was unveiled at a ceremony for a naming contest of the rover held on August 15 in Beijing. The official name will be announced in October.  相似文献

Aground firing test of the Chang’e 3 lander was conducted recently to check the mechanical performance of the spacecraft. The test was vital before the propulsion system test of the Chang’e 3 lander and was also a very important precondition to verify whether the propulsion system design could meet the requirements for in-orbit operation.  相似文献
