The Atacama along the Pacific Coast of Chile and Peru is one of the driest and possibly oldest deserts in the world. It represents an extreme habitat for life on Earth and is an analog for life in dry conditions on Mars. We report on four years (September 1994-October 1998) of climate and moisture data from the extreme arid region of the Atacama. Our data are focused on understanding moisture sources and their role in creating suitable environments for photosynthetic microorganisms in the desert surface. The average air temperature was 16.5 degrees C and 16.6 degrees C in 1995 and 1996, respectively. The maximum air temperature recorded was 37.9 degrees C, and the minimum was -5.7 degrees C. Annual average sunlight was 336 and 335 W m(-2) in 1995 and 1996, respectively. Winds averaged a few meters per second, with strong f?hn winds coming from the west exceeding 12 m s(-1). During our 4 years of observation there was only one significant rain event of 2.3 mm, which occurred near midnight local time. We suggest that this event was a rainout of a heavy fog. It is of interest that the strong El Ni?o of 1997-1998 brought heavy rainfall to the deserts of Peru, but did not bring significant rain to the central Atacama in Chile. Dew occurred at our station frequently following high nighttime relative humidity, but is not a significant source of moisture in the soil or under stones. Groundwater also does not contribute to surface moisture. Only the one rain event of 2.3 mm resulted in liquid water in the soil and beneath stones for a total of only 65-85 h over 4 years. The paucity of liquid water under stones is consistent with the apparent absence of hypolithic (under-stone) cyanobacteria, the only known primary producers in such extreme deserts.  相似文献

The spectral curve of the flux density of the radiation, which is reflected by the full moon towards the Earth’s ionosphere within a wavelength range of 200–1700 Å, has been presented. This curve is obtained by the approximation of space experiment data available in the scientific literature on the lunar spectral albedo and solar spectrum. Estimates of maximum values of spectral densities of fluxes reflected by the full moon in the neighborhood of wavelengths of ionization of basic ionospheric particles (neutral atoms of H I, He I, N I, O I, and Ar I and ions of He II, N II, O II, Ar II, N III, O III, and Ar III, as well as molecules of H2, N2, and O2) are given.  相似文献

采用萃取平衡实验法,研究了用有机溶剂萃取水相中2-氯-4,6-二硝基-1,3-苯二酚的萃取热力学性质。考察了选用乙酸乙酯作萃取剂,苯、甲苯、环己烷和正庚烷作稀释剂时对萃取水相中2-氯-4,6-二硝基-1,3-苯二酚的影响。结果表明,萃合物的结构与稀释剂的种类有关,并且2-氯-4,6-二硝基-1,3-苯二酚在有机相中的分配系数随稀释剂介电常数的增大而增大。通过研究温度对萃取过程的影响,证实了乙酸乙酯从水相中萃取2-氯-4,6-二硝基-1,3-苯二酚的过程是一个放热过程,表观热效应ΔH=-10.088 kJ/mol。  相似文献

Based on analysis of MHD equations and the results of numerical simulation in the magneto-sheath it is demonstrated that the total pressure on the magnetopause differs from the solar wind dynamic pressure in the majority of cases. From the equation of motion it follows that the total pressure is reduced due to deflection from the Sun-Earth line. At the same time, it increases because of formation of a magnetic barrier. This result is consistent with experimentally observed expansion of the magnetosphere for the radial direction of the interplanetary magnetic field, when no magnetic barrier is formed. In this paper we compare the behavior of pressure along the Sun-Earth line for the northward and radial interplanetary field, using the results of numerical MHD simulation and observational data from THEMIS. In the isotropic MHD approximation, the difference between the total pressure on the subsolar magnetopause at northern and radial IMFs does not exceed 10–12 percent. However, in the anisotropic approximation this difference increases up to 15–20 percent. The results of anisotropic modeling well agree with observed averaged profiles of pressure components in the subsolar magnetosheath.  相似文献

Based on the results of plasma and magnetic measurements at three different points of the heliosphere and telescopic observations of the Sun from these points we study simultaneously high-speed streams (HSS) of the solar wind (SW) near the Earths’s orbit and coronal holes (CH) that have generated them. The data from spacecraft STEREO-A, STEREO-B, ACE, and SOHO are used together with ground-based observations from March 2007 to May 2008. In this period there existed HSS whose sources represented CH of various polarity, geometry, and location relative to the heliographic and heliomagnetic equators. Dependence of SW parameters on mutual positions of spacecraft with respect to CH and heliospheric current sheet, and also on heliolatitude and geometry of the CH is revealed. A difference of more than 5° in locations of spacecraft with respect to the heliospheric current sheet in November 2007 allowed us to discover a heliolatitude velocity gradient of the SW streams between the STEREO-A and STEREO-B spacecraft. On the average this gradient at that time was equal to 20 km/s per degree. Substantial variations in SW streams associated with variations of the HSS SW sources during a few hours or days were also observed. This variability makes it difficult to use the data of spacecraft STEREO-B for sufficiently accurate prediction of SW properties in the near-Earth space by the method of simple advanced ti me shift due to heliolongitude difference between a spacecraft and the Earth even in solar activity minimum.  相似文献

利用3,6-双(1-氢-1,2,3,4-四唑-5-氨基)-1,2,4,5-四嗪(BTATz)和1,4-丁二胺,在DMSO中合成出了标题化合物。采用元素分析和红外光谱分析,测定了其结构。用DSC和TG/DTG热分析仪,对标题化合物进行了热分解行为及热分解动力学研究。结果表明,化合物的热分解过程只有一个放热阶段,该阶段的非等温热分解反应动力学方程的活化能和指前因子分别为92.95 kJ/mol和1016.58s-1。采用MicroDSCⅢ量热仪中的连续比定压热容测定模式,测定了化合物的比定压热容,比定压热容随温度呈现二次方关系,且298.15 K下的标准摩尔热容为443.22 J/(mol.K)。计算得到化合物的自加速分解温度(TSADT)、热爆炸临界温度(Tb)和绝热至爆时间分别为521.55、536.73 K和36.97 s。  相似文献

We have analyzed the orbital disturbed spacecraft motion near an asteroid. The equations of the asteroidocentric spacecraft motion have been used with regard to three perturbations from celestial bodies, the asteroid’s nonsphericity, and solar radiation pressure. It has been shown that the orbital parameters of the main spacecraft and a small satellite with a radio beacon can be selected such that the orbits are rather stable for a fairly long period of time, i.e., a few weeks for the main spacecraft with an orbit initial radius of ~0.5 km and a few years before approaching Apophis with the Earth in 2029, for a small satellite at an orbit initial radius of ~1.5 km. The initial orientation of the spacecraft orbital plane perpendicular to the sunward direction is optimal from the point of view of the stability of the spacecraft flight near an asteroid.  相似文献

A generalization of kinetic and spectral and correlation equations of fluctuations in the Earths rotation is made taking into account the effect of the Moon and planets (these equations form the basis for corresponding stochastic models). Special attention is paid to a parameterized version of kinetic equations based on the method of normal approximation. The application of linear stochastic models for obtaining the spectral and correlation characteristics of the Earths rotation is considered, including the case of random parameters of the tensor of inertia of a deformable Earth. 以3,5-二氨基-1,2,4-三唑为原料,经过重氮化、选择性还原、酸性氧化3步,合成出目标化合物5,5′-二硝基-3,3′-偶氮基-1-氢-1,2,4三唑(DNAT),通过红外光谱、元素分析、质谱分析进行了结构鉴定,并进行了DSC-TGA、燃烧性能分析、感度测试等性能研究。实验结果表明,5,5′-二硝基-3,3′-偶氮基-1-氢-1,2,4-三唑(DNAT)化合物具有密度高(1.88 g/cm3)、正的生成焓(446.448 kJ/mol)、热稳定性能好的特点,是一种性能良好的高氮含能化合物。  相似文献

The results of numerical calculation of the dependences of the electron density, the eigenfrequency and the dielectric plasma permeability on the geometric parameters and the altitude of body motion in the near and far wake behind a thin conical body with a spherical nose blunting have been presented. The electron density maximum has been shown to be located in the region of the neck of the near wake behind the body, which determines the type of this region (supercritical or subcritical). This in turn affects the propagation of radio waves through this plasma region. A comparative analysis was performed for two different bodies with the same ballistic coefficient values. No characteristic distinctions were revealed in the values of electron density or the plasma eigenfrequency in the near and far wake behind these bodies. However, it has been shown that there are differences in the values of the distance from the bottom cross section to the neck of the near wake behind these bodies.  相似文献

We present the results of a cross-correlation analysis made on the basis of Spearman’s rank correlation method. The quantities to correlate are daily values of the fluence of energetic electrons at a geosynchronous orbit, intensities of ground and interplanetary ultra-low-frequency (ULF) oscillations in the Pc5 range, and parameters of the solar wind. The period under analysis is the 23rd cycle of solar activity, 1996–2006. Daily (from 6 h to 18 h of LT) magnetic data at two diametrically opposite observatories of the Intermagnet network are taken as ground-based measurements. The fluxes of electrons with energies higher than 2 MeV were measured by the geosynchronous GOES satellites. The data of magnetometers and plasma instruments installed on ACE and WIND spacecraft were used for analysis of the solar wind parameters and of the oscillations of the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). Some results elucidating the role played by interplanetary ULF waves in the processes of generation of magneospheric oscillations and acceleration of energetic electrons are obtained. Among them are (i) high and stable correlation of ground ULF oscillations with waves in the solar wind; (ii) closer link of mean daily amplitudes of both interplanetary and ground oscillations with ‘tomorrow’ values of the solar wind velocity than with current values; and (iii) correlation of the intensity of ULF waves in the solar wind, normalized to the IMF magnitude, with fluxes of relativistic electrons in the magnetosphere.  相似文献

Using NOAA satellite data, we consider the peculiarities of precipitation dynamics for energetic protons to the equator of the isotropy boundary during a geomagnetic storm. In addition to two well-known types of proton precipitation events, a new third type of precipitation is distinguished, which is observed on the dayside at relatively high latitudes. The assumption is made that the third-type precipitation in the dayside sector is associated with the development of ion-cyclotron instability. Apparently, the transverse anisotropy of energetic protons, which is necessary for the development of instability, is caused by splitting of drift shells. All three types of precipitation have different generation regions and different time dynamics during storms. The maximum precipitation intensity takes place in the evening sector during the main phase of a storm. At the storm’s recovery phase major losses of protons of the ring current are due to precipitation in the day and morning sectors.  相似文献
