The atmosphere, acting like a lens, causes a small loss in radarsignal strength [1]. Unlike atmospheric absorption [2], the lenseffect loss is different for distributed targets versus point targets.For a distributed target uniformly filling the radar beam, the lens effect loss (in decibels) is one-half the lens-effect loss for point targets.  相似文献

Multipath Limitations on Low-Angle Radar Tracking   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This paper investigates the problem of tracking targets at a low elevation angle in the presence of specular and diffuse multipath. Quantitative estimates are derived of the elevation angles, and hence, range, at which targets of specified height can be accurately tracked. A parametric approach is followed in which the long-standing uncertainty of how terrain forward-scatters at low grazing angles is recognized at the outset. Particular attention is given to the effects of target motion which permit rejection of multipath components falling outside the radar tracker's passband. The results are presented in a form which can be readily applied to a spectrum of radar trackers with differing requirements. The limited experimental ental data on the specular and diffuse scattering parameters for several generic types of terrain are applied to estimate the significance of multipath under different situations and to indicate specific areas in which additional experimental data are critically needed.  相似文献

为了研究柔性接头在固定压强下力矩特性随温度的变化,设计了弹性材料为硅橡胶的小型柔性接头,测试了一系列0.1MPa容压条件下柔性接头在正弦激励下的动态特性,获得了不同温度时接头的摆角力矩曲线。根据接头在摆角为0°时的力矩获得摩擦力矩,根据摆角力矩曲线的近线性部分获得弹性比力矩,在此基础上研究了温度对各个力矩的影响。结果表明:作动力矩随温度的升高而减小,但温度对作动力矩的大小影响很小,库伦摩擦力矩随温度的升高而增加,弹性比力矩和总比力矩因发生热弹逆变现象随温度的升高先减小后增加,动态弹性模量和损耗系数随温度的升高而降低,能量损耗受动态弹性模量和损耗系数变化影响随温度的升高而降低.   相似文献

交叉眼干扰被认为是对单脉冲雷达干扰最有效的方式之一。基于雷达方程建立了隔离平台回波下的两点源反向交叉眼干扰模型,推导了交叉眼干扰欺骗角一般性公式,研究了干扰机发射天线间距、干扰平台旋转角和干扰机相对雷达之间距离等参数变化对角度欺骗效果的影响,并依据单脉冲雷达接收机获取角度的信息处理流程,建立了单脉冲雷达接收机仿真模型,对交叉眼数学模型的正确性和局限性进行了分析。研究结果表明:单脉冲雷达越靠近两点源交叉眼干扰机中心线、干扰机两发射天线间距越大、与干扰机距离越近时,角度欺骗效果越好;单脉冲雷达的欺骗角度随着与干扰机距离的接近呈指数式增大;数学模型和仿真模型计算的单脉冲雷达角度误差最大值随干扰机天线与雷达天线中心连线的夹角的增大呈指数化增长。研究可为交叉眼干扰工程设计作参考。  相似文献

针对目前各国日益重视电子干扰而反舰导弹末制导雷达搜索范围却呈现逐步扩大的趋势,进行了最小方位搜索范围确定模型的研究。把目标机动范围和目标指示精度误差作为圆分布来处理,按照捕捉概率不小于0.99的要求,利用解析算法,建立了反舰导弹末制导雷达最小搜索范围确定的基本模型,并在把主要误差综合为目标指示精度和侧向横移两类误差的基础上,对模型进行了修正。对开机距离为30 km,35 km和40 km时不同条件下高亚声速、超声速反舰导弹末制导雷达的最小方位搜索范围进行了仿真。结果显示,高亚声速反舰导弹末制导雷达的最小搜索范围在±40°之内,超声速反舰导弹在±27°之内,对应比某些现役反舰导弹末制导雷达的搜索范围要小。  相似文献

It is shown that if the pulse-repetition frequency of a coherent pulse-Doppler radar is at least twice the Doppler bandwidth, one may, using appropriate downconversion, sample the radar signal at half the Nyquist rate with no loss in range resolution and no folding of Doppler frequencies. 机载雷达天线伺服控制的精度是雷达系统精确搜索、识别和探测目标的重要指标之一。由于风速和载体运动速度的影响,雷达天线做扫描运动时会承受较大的空气阻力,空气阻力随着时间和扫描运动角度的变化而变化,使雷达天线伺服控制产生附加负载扰动转矩。为了尽可能减小扰动对雷达伺服控制精度的影响,本文提出一种基于扰动观测器的雷达天线伺服控制解决方案。建立雷达天线伺服控制系统的动力学模型、伺服控制模型,将空气阻力产生的附加转矩通过扰动观测器引入被控对象的控制输入端进行补偿,并对不同风速影响进行建模仿真和试验分析。结果表明:基于扰动观测器的雷达天线伺服控制精度有显著提高。  相似文献

The ``extra-path' error in the measurement of angle of arrival with the radio interferometer is analyzed as a function of target coordinates and baseline B for an exponential atmosphere. By treating the error rather than the measurement and by formulating the error in terms of well-known radar refraction parameters, the necessity for numerical integrations characteristic of earlier approaches is avoided. The table of computed errors shows that angle of arrival can be measured to an accuracy of 0.01 mrad for B?500 meters.  相似文献

High range-resolution monopulse (HRRM) tracking radar which maintains wide instantaneous bandwidth through both range and angle error sensing channels provides range, azimuth, elevation, and amplitude for each resolved part of the target. The three-dimensional target detail can be used to improve and extend radar performance in several ways: for improved precision of target location, for target classification and recognition, to counter repeater-type ECM, to improve low-angle multipath tracking, to resolve multiple targets, as a miss-distance measurement capability, and for improved tracking in chaff and clutter. These have been demonstrated qualitatively except for the ECCM to repeater ECM and low-altitude tracking improvement. Initial results from an experimental HRRM radar with 3-ns pulse length show resolution of aircraft into its major parts and precise location of each resolved part accurately in range and angle. Realtime closed-loop tracking is performed on aircraft in flight using high-speed sampled, digitized, and processed HRRM range and angle video data. Clutter rejection capability is also demonstrated.  相似文献

A coherent CW superheterodyne radar system operating at frequencies of 9, 17, 35, and 70 GHz is described. The radars are installed on a free-flight range to study backscattering from wakes of hypersonic-velocity projectiles. Each radar is equipped with a focused-lens antenna oriented at an angle of approximately 45° to the flight axis. Amplitude and phase of the received signal are recorded separately. Some typical results are given to demonstrate the capabilities of the equipment.  相似文献

The two-target technique proposed by the author in an earlier paper [1] for reducing radar multipath angle tracking errors has been simulated on a digital computer assuming an actual closed-loop system. When tracking with noise, the technique provides angle error performance which compares quite favorably with the expected performance given in [1] Furthermore, the large bias errors usually encountered in normal monopulse systems at low elevation angles are removed. Results of typical tracks are given, both for the method of [1], and for a modified version of the method which applies primarily to shipboard radar systems. Spiky sea clutter at high range resolutions and very low grazingangles   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
X-band (9.5-10.0 GHz) backscatter at near grazing incidence (0.2 deg) from the sea off the coast of Kauai, Hawaii, was measured with a radar characterized by a high spatial resolution in range (0.3 m) and a high temporal resolution (2000 Hz pulse repetition frequency (PRF)). Extensive amounts (over 20 min per measurement) of vertically and horizontally polarized sea clutter data were taken with upwind (UP) and crosswind (CR) transmit geometries during the collection campaign. Specific but representative examples of the clutter were statistically and phenomenologically analyzed over time scales varying from long (200 s), to intermediate (5 s), to short (50 ms), and over range swaths varying from full (160 m), to partial (30 m), to a single range cell (0.3 m). All analyses and results presented here are noncoherent, involving only the clutter amplitudes. Each type of clutter exhibited the characteristic spiky behavior which has come to be expected from microwave sea backscatter observed at low grazing angles and high range resolutions, while showing, between themselves, marked transmit geometry and polarization dependent contrasts, with the horizontally polarized clutter, measured with an UP transmit geometry, being especially notable for its frequently occurring, significant high frequency spectral content. The simultaneous imaging and tracking of a moving target is one of the most difficult problems in inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) signal processing. The problem is addressed here using a two-antenna imaging radar. The target range shift is sensed with an exponentially averaged envelope correlation algorithm while the angle change is measured with a differential phase shift algorithm. The three state Kalman filters are used in range and azimuth dimensions to provide both a filtered estimate and a one-sample-ahead prediction for the purpose of target tracking. The filtered range shift provides an accurate information for range bin alignment, and the target angle change provides the angular positions of the synthetic array elements. Therefore, the ISAR imaging simply becomes processing of a circular-arc aperture. The algorithms are verified both by computer simulations and also with experimental data processing  相似文献

The mechanism of Faraday rotation as it affects radar and communication propagation has been extensively treated (1, 7). The purpose of this paper is to point out the magnitude of the effect and its possible consequences which have not been appreciated. Contrary to what many believe, the two-way Faraday rotation angle and loss can be large at L-band for ground-based, linearly polarized radar systems observing targets above the ionosphere. Similarly, the one-way Faraday rotation and loss for linearly polarized, ground-to-space pace communication links at comparable frequencies can be large. The magnitude of the rotation loss depends on the location of the radar or communication station in latitude and longitude, the condition of the ionosphere, and the elevation and azimuth angles of the target. For example, based on the total electron content in 1970 (a peak sunspot activity year) at L-band, a two-way Faraday rotation greater than 50°a loss greater than 3.8 dB is calculated to occur at 60° N, 70° W, 75 percent of the time between the hours of 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. for nine months, and 22 percent of the total time for the entire year, when looking toward the south magnetic pole at low elevation angles. For the same year this rotation and loss at 15°N, 150° is calculated to occur 48 percent of the total time when looking south at low elevation angles.  相似文献

由于低擦地角、高海况等易引起雷达海杂波序列的局部剧烈波动,传统的统计分布模型难以描述突然出现的具有冲激特性的强回波,因此,针对这一问题,将广义自回归条件异方差(Generalized Auto Regressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity,GARCH)模型引入海杂波建模中,通过 GARCH模型阶数步进搜索结合残差序列方差齐性检验,实现了海杂波数据的波动信息提取。经 X波段雷达实测数据验证,所提出的波动信息提取方法,可以很好地提取实测海杂波数据在局部区域或时间段内的波动信息,为特征检测方法设计提供有效的特征支撑。  相似文献

In synthetic aperture radar a large linear phased array is formed from the rapid movement of a single element through each position in the array. Storage and coherent combining of the successive radar echoes are central to the array-forming process. Optical processing is the most common technique because of the efficiency with which Fourier transformation may be accomplished with simple optics. Real-time operation, however, requires all-electronic processing, which is difficult to accomplish because of the huge quantity of data to be manipulated. Dynamic range compression by hard limiting may ease the problem by reducing the number of bits per frame. The effects of hard limiting are analyzed in this paper. It is shown that large targets simultaneously illuminated by the radar antenna will produce image targets or ghosts displaced in angle. Statistically homogeneous clutter will "linearize" the hard-limited receiver and suppress the ghosts without loss in contrast, as does thermal noise if it is larger than the target echoes. Pulse compression reduces the probability of images from prominent targets. Judicious choice of the pulse-compression waveform is a powerful tool for destroying coherent buildup of images from all large targets not in the same range resolution cell. Linear FM, the most common choice, unfortunately does not exhibit this desirable property.  相似文献

This research is concerned with multidimensional signal processing and image formation with FOliage PENetrating (FOPEN) airborne radar data which were collected by a Navy P-3 ultra wideband (UWB) radar in 1995. The digital signal processors that were developed for the P-3 data commonly used a radar beamwidth angle that was limited to 35 deg. Provided that the P-3 radar beamwidth angle (after slow-time FIR filtering and 6:1 decimation) was 35 deg, the P-3 signal aperture radar (SAR) system would approximately yield alias-free data in the slow-time Doppler domain. We provide an analysis here of the slow-time Doppler properties of the P-3 SAR system. This study indicates that the P-3 database possesses a 50 deg beamwidth angle within the entire [215, 730] MHz band of the P-3 radar. We show that the 50-degree beamwidth limit is imposed by the radar (radial) range swath gate; a larger beamwidth measurements would be possible with a larger range swath gate. The 50-degree beamwidth of the P-3 system results in slow-time Doppler aliasing within the frequency band of [444, 730] MHz. We outline a slow-time processing of the P-3 data to minimize the Doppler aliasing. The images which are formed via this method are shown to be superior in quality to the images which are formed via the conventional P-3 processor. In the presentation, we also introduce a method for converting the P-3 deramped (range-compressed) data into its alias-free baseband echoed data; the utility of this conversion for suppressing radio frequency interference signals is shown  相似文献
