Both US military and industry rely on automatic testing to verify the quality of manufacture and repair. Many testers still rely on computers designed and manufactured in the early 1980's. This includes systems using embedded controllers. Year 2000 problems can surface in computer operating systems, compilers, test programs, and in embedded systems. Until the impact of the Y2K “bug” is addressed, the risk of test program failure is unknown in most legacy automatic test systems. Problems may include embedded controllers in proprietary designs, old operating systems, and unique test program code. This paper will address the potential problem areas in automatic testing, and suggest an approach for determining the best course of action. In order to evaluate the impact, a complete systems inventory must be done to identify all potential sources of problems. Little attention has been paid to the legacy automated test systems and the potential impact of the Y2K problem on such systems. Although newer systems are less likely to be affected, no one can be sure until a complete inventory and test has been accomplished  相似文献

Many proposed space based observations will rely on the use of closed cycle and passive cooling systems to provide the thermal environment for high sensitivity. The use of closed cycle mechanical coolers on space telescopes poses particular integration problems; some of these difficulties are discussed in this paper.One of the major problems envisaged is that of exported vibration. This problem, and that of the heat sinking required, can be alleviated by siting the compressors of the Stirling cycle precooler further from the displacer unit. The effect of the separation between the compressors and the displacer on the performance of the Stirling cycle precooler has been measured. Increasing the separation from 170 mm to 565 mm decreases the cooling power at 25 K from 220 mW to 180 mW. In most applications this would be acceptable.The pre-cooler provides cooling at a single point. In situations where refrigeration of extended objects (e.g. telescope mirrors) is required, some distribution method has to be found. A scheme for achieving this is presented together with preliminary calculations on such a system.Temperatures in the region of 2.5 to 4K are required to meet the requirements for long wavelength detectors. We have demonstrated how these temperatures can be achieved in a continuously operating closed cycle cooler that has been engineered for space applications. This cooler consists of a two-stage Stirling cycle precooling a closed cycle Joule-Thomson (JT) stage. Temperatures in the region of 4K are achieved by the use of helium-4 in the JT system. The lighter isotope of helium is used to obtain temperatures down to 2.5 K. Under no-load conditions the precooler reaches a base temperature of 11.3K. The JT system achieves 4.3 K with a 10 mW heat load and 2.5 K with a heat load of over 3 mW. The input power to the cooler is approximately 126 W.The temperature stability of the cooler at low temperatures is important to keep detector drift to a minimum. The temperature of the JT stage has been measured in uncontrolled laboratory conditions and found to vary by only 30 mK over a seventy hour period. The pre-cooler temperature varied by approximately 0.6 K during these measurements.  相似文献

The role of built in test (BIT) in electronic systems has grown in prominence with the advances in system complexity and concern over maintenance lifecycle costs of large systems. In an environment where standards drive system designs (and provide an avenue for focused advancement in technology), standards for BIT are very much in an evolutionary state. The reasons for advancing the effectiveness of BIT include reduced support overhead, greater, confidence in operation, and increased system availability. The cost of supporting military electronic systems (avionics, communications, and weapons systems) has driven much of the development in BIT technology. But what about the systems that support these end items that contain test and measurement instrumentation - such as automatic test equipment (ATE), simulators and avionics development suites? There has also been a beneficial effect on the maintenance and availability of these systems due to the infusion of BIT into their component assemblies. But the effect has been much more sporadic and fragmented. This paper looks at the state of BIT in test and measurement instruments, explain its affect on system readiness, and present ideas on how to improve BIT technologies and standards. This will not provide definitive answers to BIT development questions, since the factors that affect it are specific to the instrument itself. The topics covered in this paper are: definitions of built-in test, instrument BIT history, importance of BIT fault coverage and isolation in support systems, overview of BIT development process issues that limit the effectiveness of BIT Standards related to instrument BIT, making BIT more effective in support system maintenance and availability and conclusions.  相似文献

Fundamental questions that arise in the certification of readiness for dedicated test and evaluation of software-intensive systems are addressed. They concern what comprises production-representative or production software, what are the software impacts on dedicated system operational test readiness, how software impacts should be considered in the certification process, and what are the retest/recertification requirements associated with software changes/modifications. A paradigm is proposed that answers these questions and outlines guidelines for implementing a solution to these issues. The paradigm is based on existing test and evaluation events and uses a combination of defense and commercial standards and definitions to propose criteria for software certification and retest or regression test  相似文献

Design and analysis of physical protection systems requires: (1) identification of mission critical assets; (2) identification of potential threats that might undermine mission capability; (3) identification of the consequences of loss of mission-critical assets (e.g., time and cost to recover required capability and impact on operational readiness); and (4) analysis of the effectiveness of physical protection elements. CPA-Cost and Performance Analysis-addresses the fourth of these four issues. CPA is a methodology that joins activity based cost estimation with performance-based analysis of physical protection systems. CPA offers system managers an approach that supports both tactical decision making and strategic planning. 本文介绍针对固定温度点的热力学函数 (如焓、熵、比热 )综合近似计算法。该方法已成功地用来近似计算温度范围为 10 0~ 2 0 0 0 0 K的 150 0个热力学函数表。用内含近似计算程序包的 TD软件系统对混合物参数进行热力计算的结果证明,该多项式在求解多组元系统计算中迭代问题时具有很高的可靠性。   相似文献

We present quantitative spectroscopic NLTE analyses of the components of well detached early type binaries (DH Cep, Y Cyg, V453 Cyg, and CW Cep). The position of the stars in the logL-logT eff diagram is discussed. We find significantly higher temperatures for the components of Y Cygni from spectral analysis by means of unblanketed NLTE model photospheres than those given by the orbit analysis. Therefore the comparison with evolutionary tracks yields larger masses. The spectroscopic temperatures of V453 Cygni and CW Cephei agree with the orbit data, but the evolutionary tracks point to larger masses also. However, if we account for some 2000K lower effective temperatures due to line blanketing, the luminosities, temperatures and masses of all stellar components are in good agreement, except for the case of DH Cep.  相似文献

采用钢/ 三元乙丙绝热层/ 衬层( K/ J/ B) 粘接试件和钢/ 三元乙丙绝热层/ 衬层/ 推进剂( K/ J/ B/ Y)矩形试件,对三元乙丙(EPDM)绝热层、无预固化衬层界面粘接强度进行测试,研究了EPDM 绝热层表面处 理工艺、衬层成型厚度以及衬层成型后装药间隔时间对界面粘接性能的影响。结果表明:无预固化衬层与表面 未处理的EPDM 绝热层粘接强度约1. 0 MPa,而EPDM 绝热层表面处理后,无预固化衬层与绝热层和推进剂界 面的粘接良好。无预固化衬层成型厚度为0. 3 ~0. 5 mm,界面粘接强度基本不变;衬层成型厚度增大到0. 7 mm,则界面粘接强度逐步增加。K/ J/ B/ Y 断裂面均在推进剂间,界面良好无异常;装药间隔时间从4 h 延长至 24 h,对K/ J/ B/ Y 粘接强度影响较小,无预固化衬层完全可以按照现行装药工艺进行装药。  相似文献

This paper describes a set of life cycle methods that were developed in 1980 and 1981 and used in the later phases of the 757/767 airplane programs. They have been used as a framework to establish and guide the introduction of a wide use of similar methods for the future avionics of Boeing's next airplane, the 7J7. The methods were designed to improve communication of the system's requirements, architecture and implementation to a wide group of interested parties ? not just the development engineers but also the users, maintainers, customers and support organizations. A major aspect of these methods is that they were designed to be used for systems in general not just software systems. This paper will describe the background and goals and objectives leading to the need for systems engineering methods, describe the methods and give an example of their use. It will conclude with remarks on steps taken to introduce methods of this type on a wide scale to support the next Boeing airplane.  相似文献

研究了Ag和Y的复合添加对金属间化合物NiAI显微组织的影响。利用非自耗电弧炉制备了三种不同Y和Ag含量(1.0,5.0,10.0质量分数%)的NiAJ合金,其中一组试样进行了高温固溶和时效处理。实验结果表明,随着Y和Ag含量的增加,铸态下的NiAI合金晶粒呈逐渐细化的趋势,并且柱状晶生长方式逐渐演变为典型的糊状凝固方式。EDS和XRD分析表明,晶界处有富Ag、Y相形成;固溶时效后的NiAl合金组织则演变为粗大的等轴晶粒,Y和Ag元素仍然在晶界处偏聚。  相似文献

The potential benefits of hybrid-electric or all-electric propulsion have led to a growing interest in this topic over the past decade. Preliminary design of propulsion systems and innovative configurations has been extensively discussed in literature, but steps towards higher levels of technological readiness, optimisation algorithms based on reliable weight estimation and simulation-based mission analysis are required. This paper focuses on the integration of a method for evaluating the lateral-directional controllability of an aircraft within a design chain that integrates aero-propulsive interactions, accurate modelling of the fuel system, and mid-fidelity estimation of the structural weight. Furthermore, the present work proposes a strategy for powerplant management in scenarios with an inoperative chain element. Benefits of hybrid-electric propulsion on the design of the vertical tail plane are evaluated involving the analysis of multiple failure scenarios and certification requirements.
