Hughes space and communications was awarded a contract in January 1998 from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center for the design, manufacture, integration and launch of two next generation geostationary operational environmental satellites (GOES) and options for two additional satellites. The satellites measure weather phenomena as the primary mission and X-rays and charged particles as the secondary missions. This paper describes the GOES electrical power subsystem (EPS) requirements, architecture, hardware and energy balance analysis. As of this writing, the design of the EPS has completed the critical design review phase and the hardware has entered the manufacturing phase  相似文献

多电飞机(MEA)逐步实现机载二次能源的统一,可有效提升飞机能源利用率。高压直流(HVDC)供电系统(EPS)从原理上更容易实现电源的并联运行,利于多发动机/多发电机布局下供电容量的扩展,并实现不中断供电,进一步提升系统的供电品质和鲁棒性。分析了高压直流供电系统的特点与优势,系统总结了高压直流并联供电系统的研究现状,在此基础上阐述了并联供电系统的关键技术和问题。提出并构建基于新型双凸极无刷直流发电机的双通道高压直流并联供电系统,实现了系统均流控制,完成高压直流并联供电时突加突卸负载、投入并联、退出并联等动态过程的实验验证。研究结果表明高压直流并联供电系统具有良好的稳态精度与动态性能,在多电乃至全电飞机(AEA)上有重要研究价值和应用潜力,其动态行为、建模方法和控制保护逻辑等问题值得进一步深入研究与实践。  相似文献

A detailed cost model has been developed to parametrically determine the program development and production cost of photovoltaic, solar dynamic, and dynamic isotope (DIPS) space power systems. The model is applicable in the net electrical power range of 3 to 300 kWe for solar power and 0.5 to 10 kWe for DIPS. Application of the cost model allows spacecraft or space-based power system architecture and design trade studies or budgetary forecasting and cost benefit analyses. The cost model considers all major power subsystems (i.e., power generation, power conversion, energy storage, thermal management, and power management/distribution/control). It also considers system cost effects such as integration, testing, and management. The cost breakdown structure, model assumptions, ground rules, bases, cost estimation relationship format, and rationale are presented, and the application of the cost model to 100-kWe solar space power plants and to a 1.0-kWe DIPS is demonstrated  相似文献

A five-phase Power Management and Distribution System for a More-Electric Aircraft (MADMEL) program was awarded by the Air Force to Northrop/Grumman Military Aircraft Division in September 1991. The objective of the program is to design, develop, and demonstrate an advanced electrical power generation and distribution system for a More-Electric Aircraft (MEA). The MEA emphasizes the use of electrical power in place of hydraulics, pneumatic, and mechanical power to optimize the performance and life cycle cost of the aircraft. This paper presents an overview of the MADMEL program and a top-level summary of the program results, development and test of major components to date. In Phase I and Phase II studies, the electrical load requirements were established and the electrical power system architecture was defined for both near-term (NT-year 1996) and far-term (FT-year 2003) MEA application. The detailed design and specification for the Electrical Power System (EPS), its interface with the Vehicle Management System, and the test set-up were developed under Phase III. Phase IV, fabrication and testing of the subsystem level hardware, has been completed. Overall system level integration and testing, Phase V, is scheduled to be completed by September 1999  相似文献

为了满足新支线飞机ARJ21供电系统地面独立试验的需要,设计了用于模拟航空电子系统、发动机系统等与电气系统之间相关接口功能的仿真器,为电气系统提供其它飞机系统的仿真信号并指示供电系统的运行状态.为验证供电系统的各项性能提供支持.实际运行结果表明在新支线飞机ARJ21供电系统的12种状态下仿真器对导光板和供电系统的控制逻辑正确,对电源系统简图页和EICAS信息指示合理,通过ARINC429总线与各发电机控制器的通信正常,各项功能与飞机系统设计一致,完全能够满足飞机供电系统综合试验的要求.  相似文献

风力发电作为清洁能源利用的重要方式,具有无污染、可再生、方便采集等特点,近年来得到快速发展。相对于传统低空风力发电,系留悬浮式风力发电具有容量系数高、发电成本低等优点,拥有更大的开发价值和发展潜力,已有多个国家开展研究并取得一定成果。本文通过对系留悬浮式风力发电技术发展的调研,归纳四种系留悬浮式风力发电技术类型,分析各技术类型的工作原理与特点,总结未来系留悬浮式风力发电需要重点突破的轻质高强系留缆绳设计与制造、高性能囊体复合材料、稳定与智能控制、高效风力发电飞行平台总体设计、便利展开部署五种关键技术,为后续研究提供参考。  相似文献

This paper provides an overview of the Space Station configuration and summarizes the requirements, architecture, and significant challenges associated with the electrical power system (EPS). The Space Station configuration was baselined during the systems design review (SDR) process in March, 1994. The current configuration includes the addition of Russia as an international partner, resulting in major changes to the assembly sequence, pressurized module complement, and overall power architecture. The Russian contributions to the power system architecture, as well as an-overview and development status of the US provided elements is presented. Finally, a planned flight demonstration of solar dynamic power system on the Mir as part of the first phase of US/Russian cooperation in human space flight is described  相似文献

飞行器电能、液压能和气压能的功率需求由第二动力系统单独做功或提取发动机主轴功率供应。TBCC发动机模态转换后,第二动力系统无法从发动机主轴提取功率。因此,需要解决空天飞行器第二动力系统长时间大功率能量输出的问题。分析航空蓄电池、起动发电机、APU、GTS、ATS和RAT的技术特点、发展现状以及第二动力的发展趋势,结合高超声速飞行器的发展趋势,提出ATS/RAT组合和多电超导发动机/大比能的储能装置技术组合是实现空天高超声速飞行器综合能源的技术路线。  相似文献

本文通过三维数值模拟研究蓄热式太阳能热光伏-热推进双模系统的蓄/释热特性和推进性能。在蓄热式太阳能热推进系统工程模型的基础上,通过射线光学的光路分析验证了聚光器设计的合理性,并获得吸热腔壁面能量分布情况,进一步研究了相变蓄热过程的影响因素。基于场协同原理对热光伏再生冷却结构进行了优化设计,使热光伏具有较好的散热特性,提高发电功率;通过整机流动换热仿真,分析了工质流体在推进器内部的换热情况,计算结果表明,蓄热式热推进器具有达到734s比冲和0.9N推力的推进性能,以及能够满足日蚀区微小卫星的供电和推力需求。  相似文献

The Electric Power System (EPS) being built for the International Space Station has undergone several significant changes over the last year, as major design decisions have been made for the overall station. While the basic topology and system elements have remained the same, there are important differences in connectivity, assembly sequence, and start-up. The key drivers for these changes in architecture have been the goal to simplify verification, and most significantly, the introduction of extensive Russian participation in the program. Having the Russians join the international community in this project has resulted in an expanded station size, larger crew, and almost doubled the observable surface of the Earth covered by the station. For the power system it has meant additional interfaces for power transfer, and new challenges for solar tracking at the higher inclination orbit. This paper reviews the current architecture and emphasizes the new features that have evolved, as the design for the new, larger station has developed. Additionally, the possible application of developing technology to the station, and other future missions is considered  相似文献

We have constructed a high-temperature super conductor-magnet momentum wheel for microsatellites and propose a micro high-temperature superconductor energy storage and attitude control system for nano/pico satellites. The momentum wheel for micro satellites has a mass of 1.1 kg with an angular momentum capacity of 3.5 J sec. It occupies a volume of 12.7 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height. It operates within the restricted power budget of a microsatellite with a total power supply of only 10 watts. It consumes less than 1 watt for sustenance. The micro high-temperature superconductor flywheel for nano/pico satellites has an angular momentum capacity of 0.083 Js and stores 2.32 kJ at 530 krpm. Its energy storage capacity is approximately 45 Wh/kg with an energy density of around 370 kJ/L. The HTS systems can perform the dual function of a power/attitude control system and are ideally suited for low Earth orbit energy storage, power generation, and attitude control of spacecraft.  相似文献

New technological advances in the area of power electronics are having an increasing impact on the design of aerospace control systems. These next generation power components promise improved system performance through increased electronic efficiencies. Applying state-of-the-art packaging concepts as an integral part of the system design will allow these devices to be utilized in a space efficient and reliable manner. The first portion of this paper looks at two such next generation components. The first is a High Voltage Integrated Circuit (HVIC) that provides a bridge between the low voltage controller logic and the high voltage motor winding invertor. This device achieves size reduction and an increase in reliability through integration of low and high voltage logic networks on a single integrated circuit. The second is the Insulated Gate Transistor (IGT). This device provides a high voltage switch with MOS-like drive characteristics. The present and future expectations of these power devices are discussed. This paper then looks at new packaging techniques for power devices. The impact of parasitic circuit effects have significant impact on power circuit performance. Finally, this paper looks at an example control application. The design is that of a permanent magnet motor driven actuator. The drive motor uses 270 vdc for supply voltage. Within the intelligent system controller, is the capability to control the current demands of the motor. The new power electronics devices are making the design feasible in both thermal and volume efficiency. This topic includes projected controller sizing into the 1990s.  相似文献

针对直流微电网中光伏发电单元出力的波动性和间歇性造成系统内部功率不平衡的问题,混合储能系统可以同时发挥蓄电池高能量密度和超级电容高功率密度的优势,根据直流母线电压进行混合储能单元间的协调控制策略。该策略将直流母线电压进行分层控制,采用四个电压阈值共分成五个控制区域,以直流母线电压为信息载体,决定储能系统的运行状态,实现对混合储能单元的充电、放电模式间自主切换。电压分层控制有效地避免了蓄电池由于电压波动而频繁进行充放电切换,从而延长了电池的使用寿命。最后,MATLAB/Simulink的仿真结果验证了所提控制策略的可行性。  相似文献

多电飞机直流配电系统是电功率传输的核心,由于涡轮电机的单向性,系统并不完全可逆。为了维持直流汇流条的稳定、提高能源效率,需建立相应的存储和消耗系统。研究了一种带有超级电容器的多电飞机储能系统,分析了该系统中超级电容器的作用及其控制策略,根据超级电容器本身的特性利用Matlab/Simulink软件建立相应仿真模型,并针对于飞机电网突加和突卸负载时电压不同状态设计了相应控制策略,通过仿真实验验证了带有超级电容器的混合储能系统的有效性。  相似文献

多电飞机是下一代先进战斗机的重要特征,具有质量轻、可靠性高、维护性好、生存能力强等特点,但是电气负载功率剧增对发电系统提出了更高的要求。针对提升飞机二次能源系统功率密度,可靠性、安全性,开展基于270 V高压直流起动发电系统关键技术研究,采用系统工程方法论,开展典型多电飞机起动发电系统的运行概念设计、需求分析及架构设计,开展起动发电机热设计及高压锂电池技术研究。通过不同的使用场景,开发多电飞机起动发电系统架构仿真模型,搭建仿真环境,验证了起动发电系统方案可行,为多电飞机起动发电系统设计提供技术支撑。  相似文献

The initiation of electrification of small farm villages in the Southern States of Mexico is described by examining a one-year history of one village's experience. The system is based on distributed power sources, as the individual residences are a collection of farms rather than contiguous houses. Distributed power systems, with very small loads, require a small modular generator and energy storage system that are reliable, inexpensive, readily available, and easily understood by the populace. The development of hybrid inorganic/organic thin-film solar cells on flexible, lightweight, space-qualified, durable substrates provides an attractive solution for space power generation with high mass specific power (W/kg). The high-volume, low-cost fabrication potential of organic cells will allow for square miles of solar cell production at one-tenth the cost of conventional inorganic materials. Plastic solar cells take a minimum of storage space and can be inflated or unrolled for deployment. We explore a cross-section of NASA in-house and sponsored research efforts that aim to provide new hybrid technologies that include both inorganic and polymer materials as active and substrate materials. For NASA applications, any solar cell or array technology must not only meet weight and AMO efficiency goals, but also must be durable enough to survive launch and space environments. Also, balance of system technologies must be developed to take advantage of ultra-lightweight solar arrays in power generation systems.  相似文献
