Recently, use of remote sensing data for determining the orientation of stress has been demonstrated. The present study deals with the estimation of stress pattern in the part of the Himalayan region which shows the ongoing neo-tectonic activities. The study area falls into a tectonically active zone of the Central-Himalaya, with a complex geotectonic set-up confined by a number of faults. Efforts have been made to evaluate the technique as a fast algorithm for quick and time limited analysis of linear feature from which the orientation of the lineaments are estimated by using remote sensing data. Further, the estimation of stress and the lineament analysis have been used in mapping of landslide prone areas. Terrain information such as land cover, geology, lineament, faults, mega faults, geomorphology and drainage has been derived from the satellite imageries, and the existing thematic information has been updated to enable the quantification of landslide causative parameters. Spatial and temporal multi-layered information have been used for landslides hazard susceptibility analysis. The qualitative hazard analysis has been carried out using the map overlying techniques in GIS environment along the central part of Himalayan region. It has been observed that the high potential zones have been found to have very high lineament density, moderate to low drainage density and high slope areas of the terrain. On the basis of the geological and morphological analysis, it is further suggested that the combined impacts of the crushed nature of bed rock (due to the neo-tectonic activities), heavy rainfall and lack of vegetation cover cause persistent recurrence of landslides along this region. The present study describes a remote sensing approach for preparing lineament map that subsequently indicates the influence of lineament density in the severity of weathering development. In this study, SPOT-5 data, the integration of SPOT-ASTER and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data were used and processed. The existence of an active fault system in the south of Mashhad city, NE Iran and presence of schistose rocks in this area result in the development of numerous lineament features. This region was selected for this research. Lineament features including fractures, bedding plane, cleavage, shear zones and schistosity were mapped in the study area. The results indicate that the highest concentration of lineaments occurred in the central-western and south-eastern parts of the study area, which coincide with metamorphic outcrops and NW-SE trending fault system. A comparison of lineament statistical analysis and field survey demonstrated that the structural discontinuities have a significant effect on forming and distribution of weathering profiles. It was observed that increasing the number, length and density of structural discontinuities led to strong severity in weathering, which can produce deep residual soils susceptible to landslide occurrence. The remote sensing approach developed in this study can be applicable for preparing lineament maps and evaluating the severity of weathering development in other active fault zones around the world.  相似文献

Lineament extraction from satellite remotely sensed data has been one of the widely used applications of remote sensing in geology. In fact, recent advances in digital image processing allow such lineament extraction to be accomplished in semi-automatic to fully automatic approaches. However, satellite remotely sensed data acquired in heavily vegetated regions such as tropical rainforest, are vulnerable to higher inherent noise levels attributed to the resultant effects of scattering by clouds and adjacency effects of highly inhomogeneous vegetation cover within the pixel dimension. In this study, we examined the effects of noise levels to lineament extraction using a fully automatic approach, consisting of a combination of edge-line detection algorithms. Ancillary information from a digitized topographic map and image classification was used to discriminate between cultural and natural lineaments from the extracted lineaments. Adapting the combination of edge detection and a line-linking algorithm, we have found the optimal parameters for automatic lineament extraction of such complex areas using Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) data. A noise level of 30% is the maximum threshold before artifacts are generated. It is therefore concluded that the combination of edge-based and line-linking digital image processing operations with the priori local optimal parameters is crucial in lineament feature extraction in heavily vegetated regions.  相似文献

Mexico is one of the most volcanically active regions in North America. Volcanic activity in central Mexico is associated with the subduction of the Cocos and Rivera plates beneath the North American plate. Periods of enhanced microseismic activity, associated with the volcanic activity of the Popocatépetl volcano are compared with periods, during which the microseismic activity was low. We detected systematical changes in the number of lineaments, associated with the microseismic activity due to lineament analysis of a temporal sequence of high resolution satellite images of the Popocatépetl volcano, provided by the ASTER/VNIR instrument. The Lineament Extraction and Stripes Statistic Analysis (LESSA) software package was used for the lineament extraction. In the future it would allow develop a methodology for detection of possible elevation of pressure in volcano edifice.  相似文献

Preliminary results of a tectonlinear study of Landsat MSS images in bands, 4, 5 and 7 covering Middle Morocco are presented. The relationships between lineaments and large-scale structural patterns are studied and compared with geological and ore deposits distribution data on the area.Middle Morocco in this article comprises parts of the Moroccan Meseta, Central and Eastern High Atlas and northeastern Anti-Atlas. Rocks of all ages, from Precambrian to Quaternary, are found, and the structural evolution of the area is due to Precambrian, Variscan and Alpine orogenies. Two main lineament sets are recognized on the satellite images. These are NE-SW and NW-SE. The NW-SE set of lineaments is prominent in older Precambrian and Paleozoic terranes, whereas the NE-SW set is observed both in the old inliers and massifs as well as in the younger mountain chains. The NE-SW lineaments therefore represent reactivated fractures that should have played an important role in the tectonics and sedimentary cycles of Middle Morocco. Other lineament trends are seen only in specific regions of the study area.Several major ore deposits follow lineament trends both in the basement and cover rocks. This is particularly true of endogenic deposits in the Anti-Atlas and in the Central Paleozoic massif.  相似文献

Recently, the detection and extraction of geological lineaments have become an essential analytical technique to find relationships between the characteristics and occurrence of hydrogeology, and tectonic studies. The use of remote sensing, with the progressive development of image enhancement techniques, provides an opportunity to produce more reliable and comprehensive lineament maps. In this paper, semi-automatic approach based on Landsat 8 and Sentinel 1 radar data is proposed for lineaments extraction and validation. The combined method of linear filtering and automatic line module ensures a high degree of accuracy resulting in a lineament map. Based on identified lineaments, Sentinel1 is more capable of detecting edges than Landsat8, but the primary orientation lineaments extracted from Landsat8 and Sentinel1 were different. So, by combining band6 of Landsat8, and VV and VH polarization of Sentinel1, the area lineaments were extracted with high accuracy. Rose diagram showed the extracted lineaments' orientation is in good compliance with the region's existing faults. Also, the formations' lineament length density has good consistent with the density of the faults in the geological map.  相似文献

The region between Southern Peru and Northern Chile is one of the most seismically and volcanically active regions in South America. This is caused by a constant subduction of the South American Plate, converging with the Nazca Plate in the extreme North of Chile. We used the 15 and 30 m resolution satellite images, provided by the ASTER (VNIR and SWIR) instrument onboard the Terra satellite to study changes in the geological faults close to earthquake epicenters in southern Peru. Visible and infrared spectral bands were analysed using “The Lineament Extraction and Stripes Statistic Analysis” (LESSA) software package to examine changes in the lineament features and stripe density fields caused by seismic activity. We used the satellite images 128 and 48 days before and 73 days after a 5.2 Richter scale magnitude earthquake. The fact that the seasonal variations in the South of Peru and North of Chile are very small, and the vegetation is very limited, allowed us to establish substantial changes in the lineament and the stripe density field features. We develop a methodology that allows to evaluate the seismic risk in this region for the future.  相似文献

Various information has been obtained by computer analysis of the lineaments of Nepal. The data were carefully studied and correlated to establish the relationships of lineaments with geological units, structure, mineralization, etc. The lineament map of Nepal was prepared during 1977–1978; the lineament data were digitized in 1982—using a Hewlett Packard system 45 desktop computer—separated by area (east, central and west Nepal) and also according to geological units. By trial and error and using all variables, the different preferred orientation classes were identified for east, central and west Nepal. Lineaments were grouped according to length into less than 10 km, 10–20 km, 20–30 km and more than 30 km, for the entire country and also for major geological units, i.e., Siwalik (sub-Himalaya), Lesser Himalaya (midlands) and Higher Himalaya. Various rose diagrams and histograms showing frequency and lengths of lineaments were plotted for the different geological units and the different sectors. Lineaments associated with granites of major subdivisions were plotted separately and analysed.  相似文献

对物体的轮廓进行分析提取,是计算机视觉方向的基础问题之一,对其进行研究对于复杂场景的分析理解至关重要。本文对室内场景图像进行研究,基于图像特征进行图像分割,提取物体轮廓。在彩色场景图像全局轮廓后验边界概率(gPb)提取算法的基础上,加入深度图像信息,对室内场景的彩色、深度(RGB-D)图像中的物体轮廓进行分析。通过多尺度信息融合,计算得到多尺度轮廓后验概率(mPb)和谱后验概率(sPb),两后验概率加权综合得到gPb。而后结合超度量轮廓图与分水岭算法,对基于方向特征变化的gPb图像融合处理,最终得到清晰的物体轮廓。本文所提方法在通用的RGB-D数据库基础上进行实验。实验结果表明,本文所提出的方法能提取出清晰的室内物体轮廓图。   相似文献

We have analysed, for the first time, the high resolution X-ray images of the solar corona, obtained by the Yohkoh Mission, as non-linear extended systems. To quantify the spatio-temporal complexity in this extended system, we use an asymmetric spatial fragmentation parameter computed from a matrix representing an image. Choosing different spatial scales on the same image, wave numbers are computed from the intensity contours and this yields a fragmentation spectrum. This spectrum is used to analyze the images of a complex transient event obtained by the Soft X-ray Telescope board the Yohkoh satellite. The dynamics of the fine structures of the contours suggests the origin of the observed fragmentation to be localized weak turbulence process occuring in an evolving coronal active region.  相似文献

根据公共场所人体安检的性能要求和技术需求,将被动毫米波成像(PMMWI)的可透视成像性能优势与可见光成像(Ⅵ)的细节高分辨性能优势相结合,提出一种基于PMMWI与Ⅵ优势互补的人体隐蔽违禁物检测与定位算法。首先,提出一种基于低层特征融合的改进U-Net以增强深度神经网络(DNN)对PMMWI中弱小目标轮廓的敏感度,提高PMMWI中人体轮廓和隐蔽违禁物的分割精度,并同时实现Ⅵ中人体轮廓的像素级分割;然后,在PMMWI和Ⅵ中的人体轮廓分割基础上,通过基于人体轮廓的尺度变换与滑动适配实现PMMWI人体轮廓和Ⅵ人体轮廓的良好配准,根据配准结果实现单帧图像中人体隐蔽违禁物的高效检测;最后,通过序列图像检测结果的对比融合与优化决策给出隐蔽违禁物的定位结果。一系列综合实验与对比分析结果,验证了提出的人体隐蔽违禁物检测与定位算法的性能优势。   相似文献

为快速、准确的提取CT序列图像中目标物体,把分水岭和图割相结合.首先选择目标物体的内外轮廓,对内外轮廓之间的区域用分水岭算法预分割为若干小区域,把每一个小区域作为一个节点,建立图结构.把多源点和多汇点简化成单源点和单汇点,建立新的图结构.然后利用最大流/最小割定理进行切割,提取目标物体.最后把上一张CT目标物体的轮廓映射到下一张CT上,分别扩大和缩小该轮廓作为该CT的内外轮廓.根据上述方法提取轮廓,对整个CT序列依次循环操作.通过实验证明该算法在分割效果和分割时间上优于其它传统算法,同时,实现了三维空间上序列轮廓的自动提取.  相似文献

为进一步研究所设计的S形进气道与涡扇发动机共同工作时对发动机性能和稳定性的影响,制作了S形进气道1∶1玻璃钢模型,安装在小型涡扇发动机JT15D-4上,观察发动机在地面台架条件下的工作状态,并进行了相关数据的测量.利用CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)方法进行同样条件下的进气道数值仿真计算.将计算结果与实验结果相比较,结果表明:两种方法得到的数据相吻合,一方面说明所设计的S形进气道与发动机匹配良好,能够保证发动机的正常运转;另一方面说明,CFD方法可用于进气道的设计验证.  相似文献

Field-aligned currents (FAC) can be used to determine changes in the total plasma content (TPC) of convecting flux tubes. The observed steady-state FAC system is combined with the observed equipotential pattern to determine contours of TPC as mapped to the ionosphere. Criteria for a qualitative mapping of the FAC, equipotentials and TCP contours along magnetic field lines to the equatorial plane are set up and the result is shown in figure 3. Some interesting features are: (1) There is a considerable distortion, which is most obvious near midnight, due to the existence of FAC; (2) There is a dusk to dawn component of convection across the tail; (3) The reversal of this component in the pre-midnight quadrant produces the Harang discontinuity. A discussion of time-dependent flows suggests that both plasma depletion associated with FAC and neutral lines may be necessary in a substorm expansion. Between substorm expansions, convection is faster than FAC-produced collapse of flux tubes. Finally it is pointed out that the current and electric field are probably not parallel in the tail, requiring a rethinking of tail models.  相似文献

The geomagnetic field, modified by the solar wind, determines the shape, area and location of polar caps and auroral zones, among other magnetosphere and upper atmosphere characteristics. Since the field varies greatly with time it is of interest to analyze polar caps and auroral zones variations linked to magnetic field variations of intensity and pattern. Polar caps and auroral zones locations and areas for various single harmonic axial field configurations are obtained analytically assuming a simple magnetopause model. As the axial degree n increases, the polar caps and auroral zones total number, given by n + 1 and 2n respectively, also increase. However, their total areas decrease from a larger value in the case of an axial dipole to a minimum for an axial octupole (n = 3), and then increase for increasing degrees. The increasing rate is much higher in the auroral zones case to the point that it exceeds the dipolar value at n = 5 while in the polar caps case this occurs at n = 8. The absolute latitudes of the auroral zones and polar caps that reside around the geographical poles increase with axial degree. Our results represent an end-member case of the evolution of auroral zones and polar caps during polarity reversals if the transition involves axial dipole energy cascade to higher axial degrees. Evidence for such an energy transfer is found in the historical record of the geomagnetic secular variation.  相似文献

Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) and Phased Array L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (PALSAR) images covering the Um Rus area in the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt were evaluated for mapping geologic structure, lithology, and gold-related alteration zones. The study area is covered by Pan-African basement rocks including gabbro and granodiorite intruded into a variable mixture of metavolcanics and metasediments. The first three principal component analyses (PCA1, PCA2, PCA3) in a Red-Green-Blue (RGB) of the visible through shortwave-infrared (VNIR + SWIR) ASTER bands enabled the discrimination between lithological units. The results show that ASTER band ratios ((2 + 4)/3, (5 + 7)/6, (7 + 9)/8) in RGB identifies the lithological units and discriminates the granodiorite very well from the adjacent rock units.The granodiorites are dissected by gold-bearing quartz veins surrounded by alteration zones. The microscopic examination of samples collected from the alteration zones shows sericitic and argillic alteration zones. The Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) and Spectral Information Divergence (SID) supervised classification methods were applied using the reference spectra of the USGS spectral library. The results show that these classification methods are capable of mapping the alteration zones as indicated by field verification work. The PALSAR image was enhanced for fracture mapping using the second moment co-occurrence filter. Overlying extracted faults and alteration zone classification images show that the N30E and N-S fractures represent potential zones for gold exploration. It is concluded that the proposed methods can be used as a powerful tool for ore deposit exploration.  相似文献

Data acquired by Landsats 1, 2, and 3, are beginning to provide the information on which an improved mineral and energy resource exploration strategy can be based. Landsat 4 is expected to augment this capability with its higher resolution (30 m) and additional spectral bands in the Thematic Mapper (TM) designed specifically to discriminate clay minerals associated with mineral alteration. In addition, a new global magnetic anomaly map, derived from the recent Magsat mission, has recently been compiled by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and others. Preliminary, extremely small-scale renditions of this map indicate that global coverage is nearly complete and that the map will improve upon a previous one derived from Polar Orbiting Geophysical Observatory (POGO) data. Digital processing of the Landsat image data and Magsat geophysical data can be used to create three-dimensional stereoscopic models for which Landsat images provide surface reference to deep structural anomalies.Comparative studies of national Landsat lineament maps, Magsat stereoscopic models, and metallogenic information derived from the Computerized Resources Information Bank (CRIB) inventory of U.S. mineral resources, provide a way of identifying and selecting exploration areas that have mineral resource potential. Landsat images and computer-compatible tapes can provide new and better mosaics and also provide the capability for a closer look at promising sites.  相似文献

Twenty four MSS Landsat I and II images have been selected to determine the most persistent lineaments within a given area in Central Spain. This area comprises four different geotectonic units: the Hercynian basement, an intermediate-type Alpine chain and two undeformed Tertiary basins. Lineaments appear to be well established in the Iberian Peninsula and their general pattern in good accordance with the faults system. Some of them correspond to simple or composite linears that extend over the entire peninsula, and must affect the whole crust. A generalized late-Hercynian fracture event is admitted to be the origin of these linears and their extension into the post-Hercynian areas is related to an Alpine reactivation. The main lineament directions are NS, N20, N70, N120 and N160. These trends seem to correlate well with arches and troughs inferred from gravimetric and aeromagnetic surveys carried out over both Tertiary basins.BPCG, Sn, W mineralizations within the Hercynian basement occur in relation to quartz and baryte dykes trending N20, N70, and N120.  相似文献

The Rodalquilar epithermal quartz-alunite gold deposits that occur within the Rodalquilar caldera complex in southeast Spain, are associated with a pronounced hydrothermal alteration of the country rocks. The hydrothermal alteration zones that are exposed on the surface consist of the vuggy silica zone, the advanced argillic alteration zone, the intermediate argillic alteration zone, the propylitic alteration zone, and a second stage supergene acid sulfate alteration. High spatial resolution multispectral imagery recorded by the WorldView-3 satellite was used in this study to map the spatial distribution of the main alteration minerals in the Rodalquilar caldera complex. Thermal infrared (TIR) data of the ASTER satellite were used to detect the quartz-rich zones. The analysis of the Rodalquilar WorldView-3 data was based on the Adaptive Coherence Estimator (ACE), a partial unmixing algorithm. The ACE processing accurately mapped the spatial distribution of alunite, kaolinite, illite and goethite. Alunite is abundant in the vuggy silica and advanced argillic alteration zones, and in the second stage supergene acid sulfate alteration. Kaolinite is predominant in the intermediate argillic alteration zone. Illite is abundant in the outer parts of the intermediate argillic alteration zone. Goethite image maps gossans that mainly occur in the vuggy silica and advanced argillic alteration zones, and in the areas characterized by the second stage supergene acid sulfate alteration. The detection of quartz-rich zones from the ASTER TIR data complemented the WorldView-3 mapping results. The study shows the efficiency of high spatial resolution multispectral remote sensing imagery recorded by the WorldView-3 satellite for district-level mineral exploration studies.  相似文献

针对不同搭接长度和不同被胶接件厚度的T300/QY8911层合板单搭接胶接接头进行了试验研究和数值模拟.建立了不同试验参数下的三维有限元模型,基于Hashin准则和连续介质损伤力学(CDM,Continuum Damage Mechanics)预测层合板面内损伤的起始和演化,应用黏聚区模型(CZM,Cohesive Zone Model)模拟层合板的分层损伤及胶层的失效.系统地研究了接头在不同参数下的失效模式、破坏形貌和极限载荷等的变化,模拟结果与试验吻合良好,验证了有限元分析模型的有效性.通过对接头的破坏形貌和应力分布进一步分析发现,胶接连接的失效模式和极限载荷均与胶接长度和被胶接件厚度有关;模拟接头胶接区在不同加载时刻的应力分布变化,反映了胶接连接在拉伸载荷下的破坏起始和演化过程.  相似文献
