Multiple function sensors for enhanced vision application

It is argued that enhanced vision, a system that includes sensors capable of supporting the means for safe operation in a low-visibility (fog) environment, should be part of a nested capability to provide seamless, safe, and efficient gate-to-gate operation, in any environment. FM/AM Noise Test Set for a Pulsed Doppler Radar

A new test method to measure the amplitude noise and phase noise in both CW and pulsed CW signals of a Ku-band pulsed Doppler radar is described. These noises are measured in a simulated environment of radar operation; thus the test results may give direct information to determine radar subclutter visibility. In comparison with the conventional noise test method, this new method not only gives more meaningful results but also can obtain results much faster in testing. Actual test system design is described by block diagrams and theoretical analysis. A method to determine approximate frequency jitter in a transmitter signal is also described.     

Constant-Q Pulsed Feedback Electronics for Strapped-Down Gyro Systems

A new design is described for support electronics used with rate-integrating gyros in strapped-down operation. By using pulses of constant charge to a linear torquer, system simplicity is retained with accuracy of 40 ppm per year.

Simulation of a 6/4 switched reluctance motor based onMatlab/Simulink environment

A Matlab/Simulink environment to simulate a 6/4-switched reluctance motor is described. From its linear model to the nonlinear model, its dynamics is described and discussed in detail. All simulations are completely documented by their block diagrams and corresponding special Matlab functions and parameters quickly develop its model to the reader. Based on the developed model, simulation studies are performed and compared with measured motor phase currents either for hysteresis and voltage control strategies, and the steady-state motor operation to validate the model

未来空域密度日趋增大,需要先进的场面移动目标引导和控制系统技术来提高机场运行效率,降低事故率。文章瞄准航空系统组块升级机场场面运行下的民机驾驶舱场面引导功能,首先描述机场场面运行的总体概念,对场面引导的数据交互和机载功能架构进行分析;然后基于所梳理的显示控制功能清单,设计场面引导的人机界面,完成从顶至下的民机驾驶舱场面引导功能的初步设计过程;最后经过CSUQ、QUIS、界面综合评价量表3 份问卷的评估及焦点小组讨论,证明该界面设计合理,具备实用性。

A technique is described in which the separate techniques of beam sharpening (by synthetic antenna methods) and pulse compression are converted into a single two-dimensional operation, which is carried out with a coherent optical processor.
