In this paper, we present a framework for evaluating the bit error probability (BEP) of Nd-branch diversity combining with imperfect channel estimates in correlated fading environments. The estimator structure is based on the maximum likelihood estimate and arises naturally as the sample mean of Np pilot symbols. Our results show that the diversity order of the system under consideration matches that of an ideal system operating in the same correlated fading environment, regardless of the number of pilot symbols.  相似文献

Recently the performance of digital communication systems in the presence of impulsive atmospheric noise has been evaluated assuming a noise model which is in excellent agreement with experimental results. We evaluate the bit error probability for coherent phase-shift keying (CPSK) signaling assuming the same atmospheric noise model but considering a more reasonable representation of the communication channel which accounts for the simultaneous presence of Gaussian (always present) atmospheric noise and signal fading.  相似文献

Previous literature has analyzed PCM/FM telemetry systems using idealized FM demodulators at the receiver. However, in many systems operating today, phase-lock loop demodulators are employed which depart noticeably from ideal operation as the loop falls ?out of lock.? In this paper an approximate expression for error probability is derived, which clearly indicates the effect of the loop on the previously published data using ideal discriminators. It is shown that the presence of the loop becomes apparent at input signal-to-noise ratios below approximately 3.5 dB, while the amount of error increase over the ideal case depends, to a large extent, upon the shape of IF filtering being used.  相似文献

Investigated here is high-resolution imaging of targets in noisy or unfriendly radar environments through a simulation analysis of the ultrawideband (UWB) continuous-wave (CW) bandlimited random noise waveform. The linear FM chirp signal was selected as a benchmark radar waveform for comparison purposes. Simulation of the recovery of various types of target reflectivity functions (TRFs) for these waveforms were performed and analyzed. In addition, electronic counter-countermeasure (ECCM) capabilities for both types of systems were investigated. The results are compared using the error between the interference (jamming)-free recovered TRF and the recovered TRF under noisy conditions as a function of the signal-to-interference/jamming ratio (SIR/SJR). Our analysis shows that noise waveforms possess better jamming immunity (of the order of 5-10 dB improvement over the linear FM chirp) due to the unique radar correlation processing in the receiver.  相似文献

This paper reviews the fundamentals of cryptographic digital systems and defines and discusses the two basic types of ciphers. The remainder of this article examines the word and bit error rates in digital al communication systems with block or stream ciphers. Upper bounds and ensemble averages of the error rates are obtained for both ciphers. The effect of modulation type on the degradation in communication system performance caused by the addition of cryptography is analyzed. A comparison is made between block and stream ciphers with respect to their effects on degradation.  相似文献

The performance of differentially encoded quadrature phase-shift keying (DQPSK) system employing nonredundant error correction (NEC) receivers with single- and double-error correction capability is analyzed and evaluated for the aeronautical satellite channel. The NEC is an attractive coding technique which employs differential detectors with more than one symbol delay elements and which does not introduce any redundancy as other coding schemes do. As typical for aeronautical satellite communications, a Rician fading channel with Gaussian power spectrum has been considered. Unlike the additive, uncorrelated from symbol to symbol interference such as additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) or static cochannel interference (CCI) which has been investigated in the past, analysis of the performance in a fading channel is much more difficult. The difficulty arises from the multiplicative and correlative nature of the fading interference. Bit error rate (BER) performance evaluation results have been obtained by means of computer simulation for various channel conditions, including different values of the K-factor and the fading BDT. These results have indicated that considerable performance gains as compared with conventional differentially detected systems are achieved for high values of K and for very fast fading. Both of these conditions are encountered in typical aeronautical communication systems. Wherever possible, heuristic explanations of the trend of the obtained BER performance evaluation results are also given  相似文献

数字对讲机协议的制定是当前研究的热点,而信道编译码技术又是数字对讲机的关键技术之一.DCR系统吸收了dPMR系统的信道编译码方式的优点,同时采用删除卷积码纠错技术,提高了对传输差错的控制能力.对基于DCR协议的编译码方案和删除卷积码的编译码方法进行了研究,对不同编译码方式的误码率进行了深入分析.仿真结果表明:在多径衰落信道下,删除卷积码可以有效的纠正突发错误,大大降低误码率.  相似文献

无人机中继通信是实现远距离无线通信的一种重要技术手段,无人机的飞行航迹对无人机中继通信系统的链路传输可靠性存在显著的影响,在频率选择性衰落信道环境下研究了基于直序列码分多址(DS-CDMA)的无人机中继通信系统的航迹优化的问题。首先,给出了基于DS-CDMA的译码转发无人机中继通信系统的模型,并理论分析给出无人机中继通信系统的链路中断概率及平均误码率计算公式,以此为基础,基于链路中断概率最小化准则提出了中继无人机的航迹规划方法,最后通过仿真验证了所提出方法的正确性与有效性。研究表明:最大比值合并DS-CDMA无人机中继通信系统可充分获取频率选择性衰落信道提供的分集增益,显著改善链路传输的可靠性。  相似文献

针对系统模型和统计信息不能精确已知的条件下Kalman滤波无法给出最优解这一问题,单一渐消因子Kalman滤波算法对于简单的系统是有效的,但是对于复杂的多变量系统,仅仅利用单个的渐消因子是不够的。本文提出了一种多渐消因子滤波算法,通过利用开窗法计算新息序列协方差的无偏估计获得渐消因子矩阵。利用渐消因子矩阵调节一步预测均方误差矩阵k|k1P,对不同的滤波通道提供不同的渐消速率。将该方法应用于SINS的初始对准中,仿真和试验结果表明:当真实系统噪声统计特性同设定参数不一致时,对准精度明显高于其他滤波算法。其对不确定性噪声具有较低的敏感度,对系统参数具有较好的滤波效果。因而,在实际应用中具有重要的参考价值。  相似文献

数字图像经过压缩编码后通过无线信道传输,必须考虑信道中各种噪声对编码数据的影响。文中首先介绍了两种常见的无线信道模型,并对其传输特性进行了总结,然后分析了JPEG2000的编码原理,重点对其在带有高斯白噪声信道下的容错性进行了研究。实验结果说明,JPEG2000的抗干扰性能要优于传统的图像压缩标准。  相似文献

The results of an experimental investigation of binary error rates in an FSK channel experiencing nonselective fading are presented. For all cases considered, the received frequency uncertainty is large compareded to the bit rate, requiring the use of an envelope detector rather than a matched filter. Both slow and fast fading rates are considered and include the effects of differential Doppler shift between the direct and reflected energy. A simplified mathematical analysis is presented to support the observed results. Both the theoretical examination and the data obtained demonstrate that fast fading and/or differential Doppler generally improve the link error rate performance with respect to the nonfading case.  相似文献

Frequency agility with random frequency in each pulse gives an improvement in radar angle tracking with a monopulse radar. With a conical-scan tracking radar, the glint error is reduced but fading error can be increased, and the net result must be studied in each case. A theory, usable for calculating angle tracking errors with a frequency agile radar, is given, and two examples showing the error reduction are presented. According to the theory, one part of the glint or fading spectra is ``smeared out' to half the pulse repetition frequency. Another part, the size of which depends on the degree of correlation between pulses, keeps the form of the original spectrum.  相似文献

A numerical method is developed for the calculation of steady-state FM distortion in a linear passive network from the character of the FM signal input and the steady-state transfer characteristics of the network. The method of calculating FM distortion requires the solution of a finite set of linear equations which is accomplished readily by a digital computer. To illustrate the use of the method, the FM distortion introduced by a Chebyshev-response bandpass filter is calculated for a range of network and input signal parameters.  相似文献

The interference from the digital single channel per carrier (SCPC) circuits into frequency-modulated carrier systems has been calculated by convolving the desired and the interfering spectra extending the previously published works. Resulting interference noise power in FDM/FM systems covering a wide range of modulation indices and basebands has been presnted. Also plots of interference noise power as a function of the number of SCPC circuits have been presented for various values of carrier power to interference power ratios.  相似文献

Statistical analyses of zero-crossing sampling first- and second order digital phase-locked loops in fading channls (DPLFC) are presented. A DPLFC is defined as one where the incoming signal is not only corrupted by additive Gaussian noise channel (AGN) but also by a fading communication channel. The three fading channels considered are the log-normal, Rayleigh, and Rician channels. The performance degradation of the DPLFC operation is characterized by the steady-state phase-error process probability density function and phase-error variance. Approximate analytic expressions for the phase-error statistics of a first-order DPLFC for both phase-step and frequency-step inputs are obtained by solving the Chapman-Kolmogorov equation associated with the phase-error process. The second-order DPLFC is analyzed for a frequency-step input. Numerical and simulation results are provided confirming the analyses presented for the three fading channels considered.  相似文献

A new approach is proposed for the suppression of FM jammers in C/A code GPS receivers. This approach is based on the cascading of the augmented-state approximate conditional mean (ASACM) filter and the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) filter. An ASACM filter for single interference suppression in spread-spectrum systems has been reported in the recent literature. However, the formulation of the ASACM filter and its performance analysis is lacking in the case of suppression of multiple FM interferences. The ASACM filter is formulated here for the suppression of multiple FM jammers. Further, a DWT filter using biorthogonal wavelet is suggested for the suppression of FM jammers. Finally, these two filters are cascaded to get an optimum performance for higher jammer to signal ratio, which is of importance in the GPS, for the case of suppression of multiple FM jammers. The performance of the proposed filters is analyzed through simulation examples for the suppression of single and multiple FM jammers in GPS receivers  相似文献

Dual-band frequency diversity seems to be an effective fade countermeasure to rain-induced attenuation in satellite communications above 20 GHz. This method, particularly suited for satellites operating in two frequency bands, typically Ka band and C or Ku band, achieves very low levels of outage probability especially where the rain fades are severe. A theoretical analysis of a frequency diversity system is performed to evaluate the amount of reserve capacity needed to counteract fading in a satellite network. The problems that arise in implementing adaptive fade countermeasures because of the dynamic characteristics of fading are discussed, and the results of the simulations performed using the attenuation time series at 11.6 GHz, measured with the Sirio satellite throughout four years, are presented  相似文献
