A new nonlinear filtering and prediction (NFP) algorithm with input es?imation is proposed for maneuvering target tracking. In the proposed method, the acceleration level is determined by a decision process, where a least squares (LS) estimator plays a major role in detecting target maneuvering within a sliding window. We first illustrate that the optimal solution to minimize the mean squared error (MSE) must consider a trade-off between the bias and error variance. For the application of target tracking, we then derive the MSE of target positions in a closed form by using orthogonal space decompositions. Then we discuss the NFP estimator, and evaluate how well the approach potentially works in the case of a set of given system parameters. Comparing with the traditional unbiased minimum variance filter (UMVF), Kalman filter, and interactive multiple model (IMM) algorithms, numerical results show that the newly proposed NFP method performs comparable or better in all scenarios with significantly less computational requirements. 相似文献

A Self-organizing Bearings-only Target Tracking Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Network 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In the bearings-only target tracking, wireless sensor network (WSN) collects observations of the target direction at various nodes and uses an adaptive filter to combine them for target tracking. An efficient network management is necessary to gain an optimal tradeoff between locating accuracy and energy consumption. This article proposes a self-organizing target tracking algorithm to select the most beneficial subset of nodes to track the target at every snapshot. Compared with traditional methods, this scheme avoids the need for keeping global position information of the network as in greedy selection. Each node judges its future usefulness depending on the knowledge of its own position and using simple mathematics computation. Simulations indicate that this scheme has locating accuracy comparable to the global greedy algorithm. Also, it has good robustness against node failure and autonomous adaptability to the change of the network scale. Furthermore, this algorithm consumes limited energy because only a portion of nodes partakes in the selection at every snapshot. 相似文献

Recently several new results for Cramer-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) in dynamical systems have been developed. Several different approaches and approximations have been presented. For the general case of target tracking with a detection probability smaller than one and possibly in the presence of false measurements, two main approaches have been presented. The first approach is the information reduction factor (IRF) approach. The second approach is the enumeration (ENUM) approach, also referred to as the conditioning approach. It has been found that the ENUM approach leads to a strictly larger covariance matrix than the IRF approach, however, still providing a lower bound on the attainable error covariance. Thus, the ENUM approach provides a strictly tighter bound on the attainable performance. It has been conjectured that these bounds converge to one another in the limit or equivalently after an initial transition stage. We demonstrate, using some recent results from the modified Riccati equation (MRE) and by means of counter examples, that this conjecture does not hold true in general. We also demonstrate that the conjecture does hold true in the special case of deterministic target motion, or equivalently in the absence of process noise. Furthermore, we show that the detection probability has an influence on the limiting behaviors of the bounds. Moreover, we show that the MRE approximation provides a very good and computationally efficient approximation of the ENUM bound. 针对多旋翼无人机在陌生城市低空安全飞行的需要,研究了适合于陌生环境应用的在线航路规划方法。在分析传统Laguerre图航路规划原理及其航路安全性优势的基础上,首先导出了面向单个拟飞通道的Laguerre规划航路的特性。进而,通过最小化航路安全误差,建立了单个航段的最佳安全航路。在上述研究的基础上,提出了面向陌生环境的在线滚动式Laguerre航路规划方法。设计了模拟城市建筑物分布的仿真飞行场景,并通过对比分析不同规划方法对于仿真场景的航路规划结果,显示了本文算法在航路规划问题中避撞安全性方面的优势。 相似文献

High Range Resolution Profiles as Motion-Invariant Features for Moving Ground Targets Identification in SAR-Based Automatic Target Recognition 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A quantitative model analysis is presented to justify the extraction of high range resolution (HRR) profiles from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images as motion-invariant features for identifying moving ground targets. A comparative study is conducted to assess the effectiveness in the identification process between using HRR profiles and SAR images as target signatures. The results indicate that HRR profiles are just as viable as SAR image for identification. Furthermore, a score-level multi-look fusion identification method has been investigated. It is found that a correct accurate identification rate of greater than 99 percent, a low false alarm rate, and a high level of identification confidence can be achieved, providing very robust performance. 相似文献

The paper examines the problem of cancellation of direct signal, multipath and clutter echoes in passive bistatic radar (PBR). This problem is exacerbated as the transmitted waveform is not under control of the radar designer and the sidelobes of the ambiguity function can mask targets including those displaced in either (or both) range and Doppler from the disturbance. A novel multistage approach is developed for disturbance cancellation and target detection based on projections of the received signal in a subspace orthogonal to both the disturbance and previously detected targets. The resulting algorithm is shown to be effective against typical simulated scenarios with a limited number of stages, and a version with computational savings is also introduced. Finally its effectiveness is demonstrated with the application to real data acquired with an experimental VHF PBR system. 相似文献

Retrieval of crustal structure and thickness of Mars is among the main goals of InSight. Here we investigate which constraints on the crust at the landing site can be provided by apparent P-wave incidence angles derived from P-receiver functions. We consider receiver functions for six different Mars models, calculated from synthetic seismograms generated via Instaseis from the Green’s function databases of the Marsquake Service, in detail. To allow for a larger range of crustal thicknesses and structures, we additionally analyze data from five broad-band stations across Central Europe. We find that the likely usable epicentral distance range for P-wave receiver functions on Mars lies between \(35^{\circ}\) and the core shadow, and can be extended to more than \(150^{\circ}\) by also using the PP-phase. Comparison to models for the spatial distribution of Martian seismicity indicates that sufficient seismicity should occur within the P-wave distance range around InSight within the nominal mission duration to allow for the application of our method. Apparent P-wave incidence angles are derived from the amplitudes of vertical and radial receiver functions at the P-wave onset within a range of period bands, up to 120 s. The apparent incidence angles are directly related to apparent S-wave velocities, which are inverted for the subsurface S-wave velocity structure via a grid search. The veracity of the forward calculated receiver functions and apparent S-wave velocities is ensured by benchmarking various algorithms against the Instaseis synthetics. Results indicate that apparent S-wave velocity curves provide valuable constraints on crustal thickness and structure, even without any additional constraints, and considering the location uncertainty and limited data quantity of InSight. S-wave velocities in the upper half of the crust are constrained best, but if reliable measurements at long periods are available, the curves also provide constraints down to the uppermost mantle.
