A GPS/GLONASS/INS test program

Under contract of different German Ministries a test program investigating the combinations of GPS, GLONASS, and Inertial Navigation has been carried out since 1991. Besides other goals, the aim of the project is to investigate the capabilities of GLONASS in comparison to GPS, to realize a combined GLONASS/INS solution and to perform joint processing of GPS and GLONASS raw data. The paper describes the test procedures and presents some of the results. This includes the comparison of DGPS with stand-alone GLONASS and GLONASS/INS under different dynamic situations, e.g., driving tests, flight tests, and also the presentation of results of combined GPS/GLONASS data processing, which was successfully achieved in March '93 for the first time. The results show the potential of the non-SA-degraded GLONASS and the advantage of using both, GPS and GLONASS for combined solutions     

The spacelab Lyman alpha and white light coronagraphs program

The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the High Altitude Observatory have defined a joint coronagraphs experiment for a future Spacelab mission. The instrumentation package would include an ultraviolet light coronagraph to measure the intensity and profiles of spectral lines formed between 1.2 and 8 solar radii from Sun center and a white light coronagraph to measure the intensity and polarization of visible light. The overall goals of the joint program are to use new coronal plasma diagnostic techniques to understand the physical processes and mechanisms operating in the solar corona, to understand the acceleration of high-speed and low-speed solar wind streams and to extrapolate this knowledge to other stars in order to help understand the physics of stellar coronae and stellar mass loss.Proceedings of the Conference Solar Physics from Space, held at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ), 11–14 November 1980.     

INS/GPS operational concept demonstration (OCD) High Gear program

On February 10, 1993 an Air Force F-16 dropped an INS/GPS modified GBU-15 from an altitude of 35,000 feet and a downrange distance of 88,000 feet in adverse weather. The guided weapon impacted within 6 meters of the target, demonstrating the potential of INS/GPS technology to significantly improve air-to-surface munitions strategies and tactics. This landmark flight was successfully followed by five additional drops with varying attitudes, downrange distances and weather conditions. OCD was designated an Air Force High Gear program, allowing streamlined acquisition and reporting procedures, in response to Operation Desert Storm experience highlighting the need for attacking high-value targets from high altitude in adverse weather. OCD met it's objective to build and demonstrate an INS/GPS weapon in an operationally representative environment. Results of the demonstration show there is low technical risk associated with development of INS/GPS munitions considered for the Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) program

介绍了DSP图像采集处理系统和CCS(Code Composer Studio)集成开发环境.探讨了几种DSP中图像数据的可视化方法,包括文件I/O法、数据加载法、C库函数法、RTDX法、HPI模块法和直接显示法等.在进行图像处理系统调试及对图像处理算法进行验证时发挥了重大作用.     

The near infrared high resolution imaging camera program of Beijing Observatory

This paper introduces the program of an adaptive optics system using an infrared camera for the near infrared observations based on the 2.16 m telescope of Beijing Observatory. This system consists of 3 parts: (1), the 2.16 m telescope; (2), the adaptive optics system that will be mounted at the coudé focus on an optical table. It will be used to remove the effect of atmospheric turbulence on the imaging observations; (3), the infrared camera with a 512×512 PtSi IR detector array.

计算机及其网络的使用使教育进入了信息化的时代。网络媒体使学校教育和社会教育发生很大的改变。通过对网络媒体的教育手段、教育形式、教育内容及教育后果的考察和研究，认为信息化教育存在巨大隐忧，应该通过加强人文教育来重构教育理念，消除信息化教育带来的负面影响。

The (r)evolution and stagnation of higher education in EE ever thepast decades

The current university education of electrical and electronics engineers has evolved from the well-established system of the 1950's to a wishy-washy mixture operating with lots of ill-motivated or less-qualified students, a process mostly accelerated by the growth in the telecommunications industry. External projects take staff time and the curriculum continues to threaten youngsters with de-focused mathematics. The computer age has reduced the interest in experimental research, and the continuation of science in the systems level may be in danger     

Overview of the image science objectives and mission phases

The Imager for Magnetopause-to-Aurora Global Exploration (IMAGE) mission uses a suite of imaging instruments to investigate the global response of the magnetosphere to changing solar wind conditions. Detailed science questions that fall under this broad objective include plasma processes that occur on the dayside, flanks, and nightside of the magnetosphere. The IMAGE orbit has been carefully designed to optimize the investigation of these plasma processes as the orbit precesses through the magnetospheric regions. We discuss here the phasing of the IMAGE orbit during the two-year prime mission and the relationship between the orbit characteristics and the critical science objectives of the mission.
