The SNC (Shergotty-Nakhla-Chassigny) meteorites have recorded interactions between martian crustal fluids and the parent igneous rocks. The resultant secondary minerals — which comprise up to 1 vol.% of the meteorites — provide information about the timing and nature of hydrous activity and atmospheric processes on Mars. We suggest that the most plausible models for secondary mineral formation involve the evaporation of low temperature (25 – 150 °C) brines. This is consistent with the simple mineralogy of these assemblages — Fe-Mg-Ca carbonates, anhydrite, gypsum, halite, clays — and the chemical fractionation of Ca-to Mg-rich carbonate in ALH84001 "rosettes". Longer-lived, and higher temperature, hydrothermal systems would have caused more silicate alteration than is seen and probably more complex mineral assemblages. Experimental and phase equilibria data on carbonate compositions similar to those present in the SNCs imply low temperatures of formation with cooling taking place over a short period of time (e.g. days). The ALH84001 carbonate also probably shows the effects of partial vapourisation and dehydration related to an impact event post-dating the initial precipitation. This shock event may have led to the formation of sulphide and some magnetite in the Fe-rich outer parts of the rosettes.Radiometric dating (K-Ar, Rb-Sr) of the secondary mineral assemblages in one of the nakhlites (Lafayette) suggests that they formed between 0 and 670 Myr, and certainly long after the crystallisation of the host igneous rocks. Crystallisation of ALH84001 carbonate took place 0.5 Gyr after the parent rock. These age ranges and the other research on these assemblages suggest that environmental conditions conducive to near-surface liquid water have been present on Mars periodically over the last 1 Gyr. This fluid activity cannot have been continuous over geological time because in that case much more silicate alteration would have taken place in the meteorite parent rocks and the soluble salts would probably not have been preserved.The secondary minerals could have been precipitated from brines with seawater-like composition, high bicarbonate contents and a weakly acidic nature. The co-existence of siderite (Fe-carbonate) and clays in the nakhlites suggests that the pCO2 level in equilibrium with the parent brine may have been 50 mbar or more. The brines could have originated as flood waters which percolated through the top few hundred meters of the crust, releasing cations from the surrounding parent rocks. The high sulphur and chlorine concentrations of the martian soil have most likely resulted from aeolian redistribution of such aqueously-deposited salts and from reaction of the martian surface with volcanic acid volatiles.The volume of carbonates in meteorites provides a minimum crustal abundance and is equivalent to 50–250 mbar of CO2 being trapped in the uppermost 200–1000 m of the martian crust. Large fractionations in 18O between igneous silicate in the meteorites and the secondary minerals (30) require formation of the latter below temperatures at which silicate-carbonate equilibration could have taken place (400°C) and have been taken to suggest low temperatures (e.g. 150°C) of precipitation from a hydrous fluid.  相似文献

The tektites called Muong Nong type by V. Barnes apparently represent the parent material from which other types are derived. In these tektites are found clues (coesite, angular voids) which indicate that they have not been substantially remelted since the event which detached them from the planet or satellite on which they were formed.From the nickel-iron spherules and the coesite it is deduced that the tektites were detached by meteorite impact. From the absence of cosmogenic isotopes and the distribution over the earth it is deduced that the source was either the earth or the moon. Calculations of rates of diffusion in silicates indicate that tektites could not have been produced from terrestrial sedimentary rocks; it has long been remarked that they are different from terrestrial igneous rocks. A lunar origin is therefore considered likely, in agreement with aerodynamic evidence. Contrary indications from the geochemical likeness of tektites to terrestrial materials, especially at the Ries Kessel and the Bosumtwi crater are noted, but these indications are considered to be outweighed by the difficulties of giving a physical account of a terrestrial origin.Interpreted as lunar materials, the tektites suggest that large portions of the lunar surface are covered with ash-flow tuff of a peculiar type, remarkably free of water and other volatiles. Lacking plate tectonics and crustal recycling, the long-term evolution of the crust-mantle system of Mars is driven by mantle convection, partial melting, and silicate differentiation. Volcanic landforms such as lava flows, shield volcanoes, volcanic cones, pyroclastic deposits, and dikes are observed on the martian surface, and while activity was widespread during the late Noachian and Hesperian, volcanism became more and more restricted to the Tharsis and Elysium provinces in the Amazonian period. Martian igneous rocks are predominantly basaltic in composition, and remote sensing data, in-situ data, and analysis of the SNC meteorites indicate that magma source regions were located at depths between 80 and 150 km, with degrees of partial melting ranging from 5 to 15 %. Furthermore, magma storage at depth appears to be of limited importance, and secular cooling rates of 30 to 40 K?Gyr?1 were derived from surface chemistry for the Hesperian and Amazonian periods. These estimates are in general agreement with numerical models of the thermo-chemical evolution of Mars, which predict source region depths of 100 to 200 km, degrees of partial melting between 5 and 20 %, and secular cooling rates of 40 to 50 K?Gyr?1. In addition, these model predictions largely agree with elastic lithosphere thickness estimates derived from gravity and topography data. Major unknowns related to the evolution of the crust-mantle system are the age of the shergottites, the planet’s initial bulk mantle water content, and its average crustal thickness. Analysis of the SNC meteorites, estimates of the elastic lithosphere thickness, as well as the fact that tidal dissipation takes place in the martian mantle indicate that rheologically significant amounts of water of a few tens of ppm are still present in the interior. However, the exact amount is controversial and estimates range from only a few to more than 200 ppm. Owing to the uncertain formation age of the shergottites it is unclear whether these water contents correspond to the ancient or present mantle. It therefore remains to be investigated whether petrologically significant amounts of water of more than 100 ppm are or have been present in the deep interior. Although models suggest that about 50 % of the incompatible species (H2O, K, Th, U) have been removed from the mantle, the amount of mantle differentiation remains uncertain because the average crustal thickness is merely constrained to within a factor of two.  相似文献

The ChemCam instrument on the Mars Science Laboratory rover Curiosity will use laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) to analyze major and minor element chemistry from sub-millimeter spot sizes, at ranges of ~1.5–7?m. To interpret the emission spectra obtained, ten calibration standards will be carried on the rover deck. Graphite, Ti?metal, and four glasses of igneous composition provide primary, homogeneous calibration targets for the laser. Four granular ceramic targets have been added to provide compositions closer to soils and sedimentary materials like those expected at the Gale Crater field site on Mars. Components used in making these ceramics include basalt, evaporite, and phyllosilicate materials that approximate the chemical compositions of detrital and authigenic constituents of clastic and evaporite sediments, including the elevated sulfate contents present in many Mars sediments and soils. Powdered components were sintered at low temperature (800?°C) with a small amount (9?wt.%) of lithium tetraborate flux to produce ceramics that retain volatile sulfur yet are durable enough for the mission. The ceramic targets are more heterogeneous than the pure element and homogenous glass standards but they provide standards with compositions more similar to the sedimentary rocks that will be Curiosity’s prime targets at Gale Crater.  相似文献

喷丸成形技术利用特定能量源产生冲击压力,在壁板表层深度方向引入非均匀分布的塑性应变,是一种柔性冷加工塑性成形技术,适用于大尺寸复杂型面整体壁板的成形制造。对喷丸成形的工艺建模方法、工艺规划方法两个方面进行了综述;梳理了喷丸成形数值模型的发展历程,分析了固有应变模型在喷丸成形模拟中的显著优势;对喷丸成形工艺规划方法进行综述,介绍了传统工艺规划途径,指出其无法适应现代工业发展需求的原因,对基于数值模型的工艺规划进行了回顾,分析研究成果存在的问题与难点并提供解决思路,试图为喷丸成形技术未来发展的研究与工程应用提供参考与借鉴。  相似文献

基于秩滤波原理,提出一种非线性非高斯秩滤波方法,给出其递推过程.目前常用的非线性滤波方法有无迹Kalman滤波和粒子滤波,无迹Kalman滤波只适用于高斯分布的情况,粒子滤波方法却存在粒子退化及重采样引起的粒子贫化问题.而非线性非高斯秩滤波方法不仅适用于常见的多元t分布、多元极值分布等非高斯分布的非线性滤波,并且计算简单、工作量小,便于工程应用.从仿真算例可以看到,该方法的滤波精度与无迹Kalman滤波和粒子滤波方法相比提高了500%以上.   相似文献

Howardite-eucrite-diogenite (HED) meteorites, thought to be derived from 4 Vesta, provide the best sampling available for any differentiated asteroid. However, deviations in oxygen isotopic composition from a common mass-fractionation line suggest that a few eucrite-like meteorites are from other bodies, or that Vesta was not completely homogenized during differentiation. The petrology and geochemistry of HEDs provide insights into igneous processes that produced a crust composed of basalts, gabbros, and ultramafic cumulate rocks. Although most HED magmas were fractionated, it is unresolved whether some eucrites may have been primary melts. The geochemistry of HEDs indicates that bulk Vesta is depleted in volatile elements and is relatively reduced, but has chondritic refractory element abundances. The compositions of HEDs may favor a magma ocean model, but inconsistencies remain. Geochronology indicates that Vesta accreted and differentiated within the first several million years of solar system history, that magmatism continued over a span of ??10 Myr, and that its thermal history extended for perhaps 100 Myr. The protracted cooling history is probably responsible for thermal metamorphism of most HEDs. Impact chronology indicates that Vesta experienced many significant collisions, including during the late heavy bombardment. The age of the huge south pole crater is controversial, but it probably ejected Vestoids and many HEDs. Continued impacts produced a regolith composed of eucrite and diogenite fragments containing only minor exotic materials. HED meteorites serve as ground truth for orbital spectroscopic and chemical analyses by the Dawn spacecraft, and their properties are critical for instrument calibration and interpretation of Vesta??s geologic history.  相似文献

As an emergency and auxiliary power source for aircraft, lithium (Li)-ion batteries are important components of aerospace power systems. The Remaining Useful Life (RUL) prediction of Li-ion batteries is a key technology to ensure the reliable operation of aviation power systems. Particle Filter (PF) is an effective method to predict the RUL of Li-ion batteries because of its uncertainty representation and management ability. However, there are problems that particle weights cannot be updated in the prediction stage and particles degradation. To settle these issues, an innovative technique of F-distribution PF and Kernel Smoothing (FPFKS) algorithm is proposed. In the prediction stage, the weights of the particles are dynamically updated by the F kernel instead of being fixed all the time. Meanwhile, a first-order independent Markov capacity degradation model is established. Moreover, the kernel smoothing algorithm is integrated into PF, so that the variance of the parameters of capacity degradation model keeps invariant. Experiments based on NASA battery data sets show that FPFKS can be excellently applied to RUL prediction of Li-ion batteries.  相似文献

针对航空发动机非线性、非高斯的特点,提出一种用于航空发动机气路故障诊断的自适应神经网络权值调整粒子滤波(SANNWA PF)算法。该算法根据粒子分布情况确定分裂和调整的粒子数目,进而根据粒子权重采用正态分布的方式进行分裂,采用反向传插(BP)神经网络进行权值调整,缓解了粒子的退化和贫化,具有更强的自适应性能和跟踪能力。通过一维非线性跟踪模型和航空发动机气路故障诊断仿真研究表明:SANNWA PF算法具有良好的非高斯性能,相对粒子滤波一维非线性追踪模型估计精度提高约21%,航空发动机气路故障诊断在高斯噪声和非高斯噪声下分别提高约30%和26%,诊断速度分别提高约7倍和10倍。   相似文献

采用丁腈增韧酚醛树脂作为变密度烧蚀材料基体,通过化学发泡法来降低材料的密度,并通过调节发泡剂用量实现对材料密度的设计,制备了变密度烧蚀材料并进行了性能测试。实验结果表明:变密度烧蚀材料的力学性能随密度的升高而提高,隔热性能随密度的降低而提高;采用变密度烧蚀材料可使材料的烧蚀热效率提高12%左右。  相似文献

航空发动机故障振动信号为典型的多分量信号,局域均值分解方法可以对其分离。在研究了经典的局域均值分解方法后,发现相邻的两个乘积函数(Production Function,PF)中存在模态混淆现象,表现为较高频PF中包含较低频PF的频率成分。针对这一问题,对PF的定义进行了改进,滤除了混淆在其中的低频信号,使信号分离更加充分。仿真信号的分析表明,改进后的算法分离效果优于原算法。试验信号的分析表明,方法可以用于航空发动机故障特征提取。  相似文献

Magnetic field measurements are very valuable, as they provide constraints on the interior of the telluric planets and Moon. The Earth possesses a planetary scale magnetic field, generated in the conductive and convective outer core. This global magnetic field is superimposed on the magnetic field generated by the rocks of the crust, of induced (i.e. aligned on the current main field) or remanent (i.e. aligned on the past magnetic field). The crustal magnetic field on the Earth is very small scale, reflecting the processes (internal or external) that shaped the Earth. At spacecraft altitude, it reaches an amplitude of about 20 nT. Mars, on the contrary, lacks today a magnetic field of core origin. Instead, there is only a remanent magnetic field, which is one to two orders of magnitude larger than the terrestrial one at spacecraft altitude. The heterogeneous distribution of the Martian magnetic anomalies reflects the processes that built the Martian crust, dominated by igneous and cratering processes. These latter processes seem to be the driving ones in building the lunar magnetic field. As Mars, the Moon has no core-generated magnetic field. Crustal magnetic features are very weak, reaching only 30 nT at 30-km altitude. Their distribution is heterogeneous too, but the most intense anomalies are located at the antipodes of the largest impact basins. The picture is completed with Mercury, which seems to possess an Earth-like, global magnetic field, which however is weaker than expected. Magnetic exploration of Mercury is underway, and will possibly allow the Hermean crustal field to be characterized. This paper presents recent advances in our understanding and interpretation of the crustal magnetic field of the telluric planets and Moon.  相似文献

The standard way of applying particle filtering to stochastic hybrid systems is to make use of hybrid particles, where each particle consists of two components, one assuming Euclidean values, and the other assuming discrete mode values. This paper develops a novel particle filter (PF) for a discrete-time stochastic hybrid system. The novelty lies in the use of the exact Bayesian equations for the conditional mode probabilities given the observations. Therefore particles are needed for the Euclidean valued state component only. The novel particle filter is referred to as the interacting multiple model (IMM) particle filter (IMMPF) because it incorporates a filter step which is of the same form as the interaction step of the IMM algorithm. Through Monte Carlo simulations, it is shown that the IMMPF has significant advantage over the standard PF, in particular for situations where conditional switching rate or conditional mode probabilities have small values  相似文献

A series-parallel resonant converter employing (LC)(LC)-type tank circuit operating in lagging power factor (PF) mode is presented and analyzed using complex ac circuit analysis. Design curves are obtained and the converter is optimized under certain constraints. Detailed Space Integrated Control Experiment (SPICE) simulation results are presented to evaluate the performance of the designed converter under varying load conditions. Results obtained from an experimental converter are also presented. The results obtained from the theory, SPICE simulation, and the experimental converter are compared. The proposed converter has high efficiency from full load to very light load (<10%). Switching frequency variation required for a wide change in the load (near load open circuit to full load) is narrow compared with the series resonant converter (SRC)  相似文献

以高硅氧短切纤维毡为增强体,分别以酚醛树脂和酚醛泡沫为基体,制备了高硅氧/酚醛与高硅氧/酚醛泡沫两种复合材料,采用红外光谱分析、扫描电镜分析、热失重分析等方法对其结构和性能进行了表征。结果表明,两种材料具有相似的基体化学结构和相近的固化反应温度,均具有良好的耐热性能,性能测试结果表明,复合材料中基体由酚醛树脂变成酚醛泡沫后,力学性能明显降低,同时,密度由1.65 g/cm3降低至0.5 g/cm3,热导率由0.5 W/(m·K)降低至0.09 W/(m·K)。  相似文献

Manoeuvring target tracking in clutter using particle filters   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A particle filter (PF) is a recursive numerical technique which uses random sampling to approximate the optimal solution to target tracking problems involving nonlinearities and/or non-Gaussianity. A set of particle filtering methods for tracking and manoeuvering target in clutter from angle-only measurements is presented and evaluated. The aim is to compare PFs to a well-established tracking algorithm, the IMM-PDA-EKF (interacting multiple model, probabilistic data association, extended Kalman filter), and to provide an insight into which aspects of PF design are of most importance under given conditions. Monte Carlo simulations show that the use of a resampling scheme which produces particles with distinct values offers significant improvements under almost all conditions. Interestingly, under all conditions considered here,using this resampling scheme with blind particle proposals is shown to be superior, in the sense of providing improved performance for a fixed computational expense, to measurement-directed particle proposals with the same resampling scheme. This occurs even under conditions favourable to the use of measurement-directed proposals. The IMM-PDA-EKF performs poorly compared with the PFs for large clutter densities but is more effective when the measurements are precise.  相似文献

A three-phase dc-to-dc LCC-type resonant converter with high-frequency transformer isolation is proposed. The operation and a simple analysis of the converter are presented. Design curves are obtained and a design example is given. SPICE simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed converter for varying load conditions. The converter proposed has several advantages, e.g., operation in lagging PF mode for the entire load range, requires a narrow variation required in switching frequency, reduced component size and stresses, etc  相似文献
