| Abstract: | Engineering Database Management System (EDBMS) is a CAD/CAM-oriented data (including knowledge) management system. It is also the kernel of CAD/CAM software system. The role and position of EDBMS in CAD/ CAM system, specific requirements of EDBMS, multi-level data management, multiple data model, versioning, definition and manipulation of complex object and variablelength field type have been researched and suggested. |
