| Abstract: | An efficient calculation methodology is developed for application in the conceptual design of civil aircraft.Requiring only limited aerodynamic and engine fuel consumption data,this method calculates,in full compliance with airworthiness regulations regarding minimum diversion range and hold endurance,a civil aircraft's maximum range and endurance.Fuel used in hold and diversion is found by iterations before range of the main cruise segment is calculated.Statistical data is used to estimate the fuel consump... |
