Abstract:An efficient TVD finite volume hybrid algorithm for Navier-Stokes equations in conservation form is presented. The spatial discretization of the convective terms is based on Yee' s third order MU-SCL type TVD scheme. The spatial discretization of the viscous terms is based on fourth order accuracy compact scheme. The flow field for per time step is analyzed by Jameson & Turkel's LU decompositions.Such treatment can guarantee high resolution of captured shock waves and high order accuracy of numerical simulation. It has second order accuracy in time. The algorithm is used to compute the shock reflection problems and transonic cascade flows and the computed results are in good agree-ment with available experimental data.Six illustrative examples indicate that the algorithm is quite robust and can generate good shock-capturing properties.The algorithm can correctly simulate multiscalar physical problems and its convergence rate is much higher and the proposed algorithm is very efficient.
