Abstract:National major special project on trunk liner program is one of sixteen major scientific and technological projects confirmed by "National Guideline on Medium- and Long-Term Program for Science and Technology Development". Development of trunk liner program is an important strategic decision that has been made by the Party Central Committee and the State Council in consideration of historical and overall aspects through correctly appraising the situation and showing great foresight. It is a landmark project for our country to build an innovative nation, an important project to revive our aviation industry and promote the rapid development of national defense technology industry and also an important strategic deployment to speed up change of economic development mode and adjust economic structure. In the face of strong global competitors, how to seize opportunities and face challenges and let large passenger planes, which are independently developed by our country, to fly in the sky as soon as possible and how to achieve success in research and development are problems for us to solve directly.
