Abstract:Based on the designed results for the linear part of total energy flight con-trol system, this paper further studies various nonlinear flight altitude and speed controlmodes. The linear altitude and speed control loops are first analyzed and designed. Va-rious nonlinear operational hmitations are then discussed and implemented in the sys-tem. The energystate dynamics of aireraft under limited thrust are analyzed, and con-trol pnorities on flight speed or path are implemented through processing appropriatelythe normalized command signals. Fnially, digital simulations of this nonlinearmulti-variable control system are conductcd with a Boeing-707 transport aircraft mod-el. and satisfactory system performance is evaluated.
