Operational Analysis of the Antenna Coupler on Boeing Airplane Communication Equipment

This article presents a thorough analysis of the operational principle of the HF communication antenna coupler on Boeing aircraft in general,and of the operational principle of the phasing discriminator,the loading discriminator,the reflected power detector and the mode sequence logic circuit in the automatic circuit in particular.By analysing the antenna coupler,we can get to know how it automatically generates tuning signals and by what process automaticttuning is realized,and also get a better understanding of the coupler principle itself.It is hoped that this article can serve as reference material for maintenance personnel in helping raise their maintenanc level.
