Abstract:For the accurate prediction of cruise drag in transport designing, a CFD analysis for the typical transport aircraft DLR_F6 wing-body configuration which was supplied by AIAA drag prediction workshop is put in practice, with "CCFD-MB", a large parallelized Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes solver for multi-block structured grid; the effects of different meshes and different turbulence models on calculation results are compared; then a correction on DLR_F6 wing-body cruise drag which is from wind tunnel test is performed through comprehensive analysis of DLR F4 wing-body and relevant literature's results. It shows that the CFD results of DLR_F6 wing-body are more reliable than test data; CCFD-MB is an accurate flow solver and CFD is very positive for verifying the tunnel experiment.
