Research and Implementation of the Virtual Prototype Technology for Aircraft Maintenance

e difference and relationship between virtual prototype and digital mockup technology used in aircraft design are discussed. The architecture of the virtual prototype simulation support platform based on the product lifecycle management P R model is presented. The concept of virtual prototype of aircraft maintenance is interpreted from the maintenance view of the whole virtual prototype. The functionality and computer implementation of the virtual prototype collaboration support platform, which is built on Windchill infrastructure, and maintenance virtual prototype simulation definition & evaluation (MVSD&E) software are described. The definition method of the aircraft virtual prototype maintenance process is emphatically discussed.
