| Abstract: | One of the fundamental features of multimedia technology involves the interactivity treatment of visual frequency and audio frequency and video compression technique is considered as a critical one in digital video. This paper is intended to introduce some widely used international standards for video compression and focuses on the analysis of the operational principle and application of MPEG-2, an expert group of active images. |
