| Abstract: | This article simply introduces the characteristics and methods of a measuring heat-visualization technique using thermochromic liquid crystals. It includes measuring principle,acquisition and quantification of colour light signals,and accuracy of measurements. Finally, the initial test results done at an isentropic light piston tunnel (ILPT) hypersonic facility are provided. |
