从互文性角度看《洗澡》英译本中四字格的翻译

翻译实质上是一种特殊的互文性活动。译者在理解和表达过程中需利用互文性知识,把源语语言文化和目的语语言文化联系起来,从而既保留译文的民族特色,又让读者易于接受。从互文性的角度,以《洗澡》四字格的英译为研究个案,分析其目的语言特性,论证互文性理论对翻译实践的指导作用,探讨翻译策略,以期对翻译实践与教学有所启示。

On Translation of the Chinese Four-character-words in Baptism in Intertextual Perspective

Translation is a special activity of intertexuality in essence. In the process of compre- hension and expression, the translator needs to closely inter-relate the source language culture and the target language culture, exploiting the intertextual knowledge, and the national flavor of the target text will be retained so as to make the western readers accept it easily. This paper, taking the translation of Chinese four- character-words in Baptism as an example, analyzes the language features and proves the guiding role of intertextuality in translation practice to keep the style of the source language, and then raises some translation strategies which may enlighten the translation teaching.
