| Abstract: | Genre analysis is aimed at researching into communicative purposes and linguistic strategies.Based on the analytical methods of linguistics,sociology and psychology,this paper discusses the concept of genre and the features of genre analysis.It also analyzes English sales promotion letters from the three aspects of communicative purpose,macro-structure and linguistic strategies. |
